The agnolotti was really good. We got the focaccia which tasted stale and wasn’t toasted enough. The fried tomato with burrata wasn’t the best. The chicken schnitzel was quite plain.

Olea always has a great, energetic vibe, but being a Friday and during Newport Beach Restaurant Week, it was super-bustling. Fun, creative cocktail program and well-curated wine list and by-the- glass selections (the Riverain Sauvignon Blanc and Cab are exceptional). Daily soup was heirloom tomato, perfect for January. A favorite entree is the Chilean sea bass--lovely presentation--and the take on an ice cream sandwich with chocolate chunk/fromage blanc cookies and peanut butter gelato is so good and perfect for sharing. Timely and caring service. Comfortably upscale ambiance and a staff who work well as a team, helping one another. Highly recommend!
we were grateful to have a big party sat on short notice but since we do that pretty often we have the comparable experience, and it was just okay, there's nothing special that would make my friends and i return and the service was average at best
Great service and food - Rachel was very attentive and cheerful - we felt like friends. Took some friends with us for first time and they loved the food! Olea continues to be on our lists of restaurants.
We ordered most things from the menu as well as wine and cocktails. Some hits (down and out mocktail) and some misses (fries, espresso martini, pear sorbet, Brussels sprouts, Ceaser Salad). 42oz steak was good. Chilean Sea Bass was good, pasta good).
Service was excellent. My husband ordered the restaurant week menu and I had the sea bass.my husband enjoyed the lamb shank. The sea bass was terrific.
Amazing food and service.

Very cool place, been here several times. Interesting and different foods so it's not your run of the mill steak and seafood place. Very good service and really like the atmosphere. Music Thursday-Sun which is nice. It is pricey but everything is these days.
Olea is reliably, excellent. It is a well-managed restaurant with friendly, professional servers. The food is always tasty and both meat or seafood selections are of high quality. This has become a popular go-to for local residents.
Lovely neighborhood spot. Very pricey. 2 hamburgers and a Shirley Temple - with tip was just over $80. We will have to move this restaurant from our weekly rotation and just make it a special occasion restaurant.

It's not easy to find a restaurant serving great food that will take a rexservation for 12 people,m but Olea made it easy from start to finish. Our dinner at Olea was the perfect combination of delicious food, great service and a lovely ambiance where everyone at our tabl;e could be heard. ( A rarity at most places nowadays!) Appetizers at olea are always a treat- Love the Giant Meatball and the crab cakes! Dinner selections hit just the right note- from fresh Salmon and fresh Halibut to Lobster Pasta and perfect steaks. Ceasar salad and the Wedge are always delicious, .All the salads were large enough to share " Our server Amber was a true porofessional who went above and beyond. to make our evening perfect She amazed uys all by taking all 12 orders without taking notes and then served everyone exactly wha they had ordered. What a memory! She took our orders course by course- appetizer, salad, main course, and delicious dessert without us having to ask. That's an intuitive server who know how to please her guests. Management ( Mike Alvarez) was warm, welcoming and responsive. Several couples had never been to Olea before, and they expressed their surprise that such delicious Caliufornia Coastal cuisine in a casual setting was so good on all counts. Everyone agreed to meet OIlea for a repeat performance.
Came here for a work function and fell in love with the place! They have a great selection of food and wine. The vibe was incredible. The staff was super friendly. This is the perfect spot to celebrate or go out for a special occasion.

My husband and I stopped in during our stay in Newport Beach and were immediately impressed by both the interior design and the level of service. From the host to our server to the bussers, everyone was polished, professional, and genuinely warm. The bussers in particular stood out; they were exceptionally attentive and clearly on top of their game. There was a live musician and singer, which added to the atmosphere without overpowering the room. The volume was well balanced, allowing for easy conversation, which is no small feat and very much appreciated. We started with the caviar and ordered the schnitzel and prime rib for our mains. The food was well executed and aligned with the overall experience we expected. The one area where the restaurant fell short was the cocktail program. Given the ambiance and the way the drinks are presented on the menu, our expectations were high, and unfortunately the cocktails did not match the level of the rest of the experience. In fact, while still seated, I found myself looking for another nearby spot where we might go afterward for a truly well-crafted cocktail. Overall, a beautiful space with excellent service and strong food, but the beverage program did not live up to the otherwise elevated standard.

Went for dinner with some friends, simply amazing. Food, drinks, ambience, service was all on point. Highly recommend, especially the focaccia bread!!!!!
Our party size kept changing so I had to revise my reservation several times. The staff was always patient through it all. Thx for a great time on New Year's Eve!
