The lady manager and the hostess at this location need serious training to learn how to work in customer service professionally. I went to pick up a takeout order tonight around 8 PM, and the hostess at the front told me it was not ready yet, so I sat near her station to wait.
After a while, I went to the bathroom, and when I returned, I saw two takeout bags next to her. However, I didn’t want to be rude and ask, as she was busy chatting with another employee and the manager, completely ignoring the orders next to her. My food sat there for about 15 minutes while she continued talking and showed no interest in checking if it was mine.
Finally, I decided to ask her to check on my order. The manager looked at the bag next to her and casually said, “Oh, it was here.” By the time I got home, the food was already cold.
The lack of customer service and professionalism was unacceptable. I will never return and highly do not recommend this place!

Recommendation: Eat here
First time at this location.
Value: fair - $106 with tip
Food was good. Fashion Island kicks the prices up for everything.
- Pork egg rolls - 3.5/5
These were good, but didn’t think the value was there. I only ate one of the four. Needed more to make a better judgement.
- Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps - 5/5
Have had these before. Highly recommend. Wished there was more sauce. Purchased the appetizer.
- Crispy Honey Chicken - 4/5
Three of our party ordered this. Everyone ate every bite. Nothing left on the plates. Though, I didn’t feel it reached the night of a perfect score. It was a solid good, but not great.

Felt like upholstery was on the older side. We could also see the kitchen from our seats. Not in a good way, it was like we were looking at the workings of a more common grill.

Been quite a long time since we have been to PF Changs. Recipes have changed which meant a bit of a different experience than we expected. But very grateful to have had a great server, Yazzie, at the Newport Beach location. She was really great, helped us with selections, quick with service and refills, and brought my wife an awesome giant flaming sparkler with her birthday cheesecake. Thanks Yazzie!

Yuck!!!
Really don’t go!!!
All the food was unbelievably tasteless.
Pung Pau Chicken, fried rice, and shrimp dishes were all soggy as if they had been pre-cooked and reheated rather than made right away. It felt like a rehash.
It was the worst Chinese restaurant
It's a shame I can't upload it because I don't want to take a picture.

Disappointing Experience in Newport Beach Compared to Fort Myers
I recently had the same dish at two different locations—one in Fort Myers, FL, and the other in Newport Beach, CA. The difference in quality was shocking. In Fort Myers, the dish was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. However, in Newport Beach, it was a complete disappointment. The food lacked flavor, the ingredients didn’t seem as fresh, and the overall execution was poor.
Not only was the main dish subpar, but everything from the appetizers to the dessert fell short. The quality in Newport Beach just wasn’t up to par with what I experienced in Fort Myers. Given the reputation and location, I expected much better. I wouldn’t recommend the Newport Beach location if you’re looking for great food.

Having previously eaten at the Long Beach branch, where food, service and ambience was superb, we decided to try Newport Beach location. What a disaster !. We ordered Chefs Special and almost immediately the Lettuce Chicken ad Hot & sour soup appeared on the table. Within two further minutes the main course was attempted to be served which we refused to accept. Having finished the first two lots of food we asked for the main course to be served. It was almost inedible ! We presume it had been stood under heated lights and was completely ruined. Finally, our server presented a bill with A La Carte prices. Once pointed out he returned with the correct one. Possibly a genuine mistake, but I wonder ?. I will not return and think a full refund should have been offered.

We had reservations and still had to wait more than 20 minutes to then be seated in a walkway near the kitchen despite asking for a booth. It was a busy night and was very loud. The food was great, as always.
