The fish is so fresh. My mother, who grew up in a family of professional fisherman, says it reminds her of her youth. There are live crabs and lobsters in season.

Pearson's Port is the best place to go for an assortment of fresh fish, live crabs, shrimp and live lobster (in season)!!! A business that has been around since 1971!! Always top quality, great service, always with a smile!

Salmon and Oysters were great as usual. Your health is your wealth. Parking was available. However it does get busy on weekends due to Kayaking next door.

Have lived in the area over 20 years and needed a new fish market. Not large and fancy, but what a gem of a market right on the water. Doesn't have that bad fish smell when you enter, which always makes me turn right around and go elsewhere whether a market or a grocery store. The young man who helped me said it is because they never keep anything over 48 hours, so it is always fresh. They take Visa/Mastercard, Android Pay and Apple PayPal. No Amex. My new fresh fish market.

We got displaced by the LA wildfires and headed down to Newport for a few weeks. We visited here twice and the owner (her name escapes me - sorry!) was warm, welcoming and even gave me recipe recommendations. I love that the selections are different daily based on what was caught and sourced.

It was nice to feel a little sense of connectedness while being so disconnected to our normal loves. We'll definitely be back when we visit the area again.
