Pescadou is closed so this review doesn’t matter. Everyone who worked there was amazing, food was incredible. HOWEVER, it’s obvious that the owners were cheap as hell.

Pescadou Bistro is the best restaurant in town. The food was as good as always. We have been coming to Pescadou for 20 years and have never been disappointed. We will be there for their night. We will miss them.

Very sad news, that this wonderful Gem is closing its doors. 25yrs in business. My one regret, which we had started coming here years ago instead of the last 3yrs. Can't find French cuisine and charm and hospitality like this place serves up. Glad I got to go and dine one last time Sunday evening, and say farewell.

This is one of Newport Beach's best dining experiences for true food and wine lovers. I'm very sad that they're closing their doors on January 14th. I'm hoping someone can re open it at some point.

We were happy to invite our relations and friends to join us for a holiday meal at Pescadou! Everything was fabulous. We especially enjoyed the escargots, Boeuf Bourguignon, the Rabbit, and the Lamb Chops. Service was excellent. Most of all, the ambiance provided us with an opportunity to really enjoy each others company. One of the best meals out that we have had in years.

This has been a grand Newport Beach tradition and hidden gem for over 25 years. I am so sorry that they are retiring and closing> We will miss them and their very authentic French cuisine!

Always an excellent choice. The food was incredible. My friend had the heirloom chicken and I had the duck. This continues to be the best restaurant in Newport Beach. I'm saddened to hear that they will be closing as the owners are retiring five stars.

As soon as we received the e-mail from Olga and Jacques that they were closing our beloved Pecadou next month we made our reservation for that evening. Though we were only numbered three (some friends were unavailable with such an eleventh hour notice) we enjoyed what will be our last delicious French dinner. The sole was exquisite as was the Coq au vin. Thank you for 25 years of enjoyment! Best wishes ?

As usual for a French bistro, the service was attentive but at a very relaxed pace. We took our time perusing the menus, which included a pre-fix 3 course menu with a variety of choices. My love ordered the pre fix Filet of Sole. She had the Mushroom soup that was exquisite (I tasted everything of hers...hehe!) French string beans and roasted potatoes accompanied the fish. I opted for the Duck which I enjoyed thoroughly. It came with the string beans as well and I ordered mashed potatoes (puree)a la carte. My lovely had champagne and I had a French Merlot Cabernet blend. Both, very satisfying. For dessert she had an Almond meringue stack with caramel and cream. I had the upside down apple torte (awesome!). Coffee was served from a small French press. Fresh and perfect with dessert. I highly recommend this quaint french bistro to all that appreciate the Continental touch done well. Every bite was better than expected of fine french cuisine. It's family owned and operated. 5 stars for sure!

Very quaint restaurant with its own parking garage next door. The food and service were excellent. Started dinner with escargots in a garlic, butter and shallot sauce and some homemade bread. Paired that with a French beer and wine for my wife. We both loved the drinks and appetizer. For dinner I had the Rabbit Stew with whipped potatoes and my wife had the swordfish over ratatouille potatoe coins. She said it was the best swordfish she has ever had! My rabbit was excellent as well. Can't wait to return for a second visit.

From outside, you can't tell. We passed by it many times but never went in. Very unexpected small little restaurant with great food and service.

As always our dining experience at Pescadou was exceptional. The autumn dinner was excellent and the service was impeccable. Our evening was like a small outing in Paris. Can't wait for your winter menu.

We've been coming here for years and have never had even a mediocre meal. Came this time for the special Fall menu. Both entree were absolutely outstanding! The scallops were succulent and perfectly cooked. The Beef Bourguignon had the most incredible gravy with meat that was moist and tender. Wonderful meal!
