BEST PIZZA AROUND!!! They use a sweet sauce that is light and VERY tasty. Thinner style slices that are filling! I absolutely love this place. I've been coming since I was a kid. Only reason for the low score on the atmosphere is because they painted over all the cool artwork that made it a landmark! Reminds me of a bomb New York style slice! Definitely a must try when in balboa.☆They also have soft serve ICECREAM cones that are bomb☆

So check it out this is one of my go to places for pizza. When it comes to pizza I like a New York style pizza not a Chicago style pizza.Not much flop!The crust is really good but I wish the undercarriage had a little more crunch. However, with that being said I eat the entire piece of pizza including the crust, it's that good.The sauce is great, I don't know what it is but the sauce is just awesome and what's funny is that I was in Chattanooga, TN recently and I got some pizza and I swear their sauce recipe was exactly the same as Pizza Pete's. I will write them a review as well. I can't remember the name of the place but I think it's called pizza Bros! Anyway, I talked to both owners and neither one of them has ever heard of the other, they both have a great sauce!The cheese is good, between the cheese and the pepperoni there's a lot of grease. I don't know what it is but I like it. However, I can nit lie, I have found myself along with my family and friends using a napkin and dabbing up some of the grease but still, I like it.The overall taste of this pizza is my favorite, would I buy it again absolutely yes, I absolutely will be back!Truth be told I have been coming here for 40 years, this again is my go to pizza place. They sell their pizza by the slice and of course by the pie. I love this place, my wife and kids love this place, if you have not been here I highly recommend you pay this place to visit.I'm giving this place FIVE STARS all the way and I will tell you that every pizza place I go to is either better than Pizza Pete's or it's not as good as Pizza Pete's!!This is what I compare all pizza to.For the record, if the crust had a little bit more crunch to it and maybe if there was a little less grease I would of scored this place as an 8.5 on the ONE BITE APP!!This pizza is Damn good!!

Service was amazing and these slices were both not just great, but unbelievably good. I have had your hot dog in prior years, but I was not familiar with your pizza until today. We went here for a quick slice of pizza for us and ice cream for the kids. We had one slice each, and decided we needed more! Pizza was delicious, kids loved the ice cream, it's a great small spot to hop in, grab a bite to eat, and rest for a while. Very good place!

Pizza is too greese & all ingredients including cheese falls off the bread & drinking Soda is too watered down
Too greasy all around.. had to dry off my pizza with a napkin. Also ordered two pepperoni’s and a Diet Coke, attendant asked if large so I said sure. After paying I saw a sign for a special with two pepperoni slices and a medium drink. Would have saved me $4 if I had seen that. My fault for not reading over menu thoroughly, but she 100% knew what she was doing (based on her reaction when I said I would have just gotten a medium drink had I seen the special). As I said, ultimately my fault for not reading it more carefully but that kind of upselling rubs me the wrong way. Then the pizza wasn’t even worth it.

If I was able to not give any stars at all I would. I sit here for several minutes waiting to be helped and even acknowledged. There were two workers there both of whom were not doing anything. Other orders have been taken and received and paid for yet I stood there staring at them waiting to be helped. I wasn't in a rush but at the same time I wasn't in the mood to be completely ignored, looked past and even worse, even after saying Hi to the workers, they didn't ask if I'd been helped or anything. I have NO reason to return here. That's for sure. I get it. You're always working to get through the rush of Junior lifeguards and what not, as it's kinda like happy hour, but to ignore your other customers, that's not at all cool, dude!
