I've been going to this Ruby's for a while now. I specifically go for the chocolate shake (which is awesome). I'm a big fan of the patty melt too. What I was writing about is something most often overlooked, the staff. Every person I have encountered at this Ruby's has been amazingly nice, cordial and welcoming. They make you feel welcome. You don't often find this type of interaction.

I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant but the food was horrible! I ordered over medium eggs and was delivered over hard. Speaking of hard the country potatoes were cooked until they were hard. I almost broke a tooth. The diced bell peppers and onions were cooked black. Back to the eggs. My exchanged eggs arrived and were now over easy. I resolved to not send for another order of eggs. The server checked back with me. Asking if everything was ok, not waiting for an answer before she disappeared. The entire staff spoke Spanish every chance they had. Which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Etiquette dictates that the group speaks the common language that everyone understands. Total bill without the tip was in the range of $22. This was high for uncertain food and a sloppy environment. Me be back? Oh hell no

Never had a bad experience in here. Food is always good and staff is always so friendly. Nice place to stop and have a quick lunch before you head to the beach

Hadn’t been to a Ruby’s in over a decade; happily it hasn’t changed! Love the 1950s diner vibe.Everyone was cheery on our Saturday lunch visit and although bustling, we were sat immediately.Alfredo was fantastic with a great personality and humor for days. Loved that I could have lunch while my friend had breakfast.Their Ruby (patty) Melt and onion rings is comfort food at its best. The French toast platter and bacon was also a huge hit. We left stuffed. Two full meals with wine for me and it was only $40 - what a deal!On PCH but happily they’ve got a dedicated free parking lot so it’s super convenient.We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
