Ordered 10, that’s right, 10 chicken tacos for our table. Which were delicious.
My boys each had a burrito.
My wife, daughter and I each shared the chicken tacos.
I also ordered 3 EXTRA shrimp tacos.
Which were also scrum-dilly.
These shrimp were cooked to perfection.
I can’t never seem to find decent cooked shrimp that not ‘rubbery’.
Their chips and queso are legit homemade in-house.
The place was being operated by 2 dudes and they made it WORK!
Small restaurant. Holds maybe 25 people, including a patio.
Washed everything down with 2 Pacificos and left a healthy tip.
Next time I’m in Newport, will stop by here again!

Gross. Don’t eat here so many other amazing taco places around. Bad decision but I was hungry and hadn’t eaten here ever. Shrimp wasn’t fresh and tasted rubbery. For the tri trip and it was the toughest overcooked carne asada I’ve ever had. The tortilla chips and salsa weren’t even redeeming. How anyone thinks this is edible I have no idea, and way overpriced. Go to Panga Tacos, Great Mex or Chronic. All way better.

We are loyals to Sanchos Tacos HB. This Saturday night we were in the Newport area and decided to grab some yummy Sancho's Tacos. This spot was not as nice, the tables were dirty, we had to clear one for ourselves yet it was busy. The employees were hanging out talking, apparently the cashier and one of the kitchen staff were flirting and chatting back and forth. We placed our order and we said dine in. We got our food, pretty quick so that was good but it was bagged for carry out. We let the staff know and she simply said well she market it for carry out and handed us the bag. Great customer service there! lol. We sat down and ate our food, GROSS, it was disgustingly salty...we took a couple of bites of our fish tacos, one was first bite and 2nd to make sure we didn't get a bad bite, It was terrible....never coming back here again. We reached out to Sancho's Tacos but never heard back, clearly they don't care about their customers. Maybe Donny should pay attention to whats going on at his Sancho locations. Never again here at Newport will we go to Sanchos!

Genuinely shocked how poorly we were treated. Visited in the hopes to get a table with my family only to be ignored by everyone and had to watch the young lady at the register making faces at her phone and heart shaped with her hands for a few minutes. It looked like she was live streaming with her friends. I asked if someone could help only to be told I shocked her??? Of course I did, she was completely oblivious to paying customers waiting in the doorway waiting to be served. Long story short we skipped this place and went somewhere else, the young lady at the register seemed like she couldn't care less, this is not someone I want anywhere near my food, good luck, we won't be returning to try again.
Stopped there for couple of mins to order food but left because of how dirty the place is. It seems like their food is really good but its really hard to eat in such a dirty place. Hope the management can clean up a bit.

This place is awesome! A perfect spot for a delicious lunch. The burrito I had was packed with flavor and really hit the spot. The salsa was so good, it’s got me already planning my next visit. The staff are friendly, and the overall vibe with the other customers made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

You can see the beach from their little porch but that’s the only nice thing about this place. Great place to eat Mexican inspired cuisine if you’re not looking for something actually Mexican for your tastebuds. We ordered the Caliguey burrito and 2 tacos (about $40). It came with 2 sauces—it should at least have 4. Your servings are medium-big and your meat is very dry… and we only get 2 sauces? We asked for more sauce and was told we needed to buy them and when we brought up the fact that the person in front of us just asked for 6 more sauces and got them immediately without having to pay we got: “He ordered more tacos than you.”
Okay, make it make sense.
Anyway, too bad service sucked. Luckily it’s in a hotbed of many other great restaurants.

Recommended dishes: Breakfast Flaco Taco, Flounder Pounder, Skrimp Tacos, Sancho's Nachos, Surf \u0026 Turf Burrito, Flaco Lunch Burrito
Very popular local joint (chain) for tummy filling eats.
Their breakfast burritos are good!
Sancho’s has a very different flavor profile vs Chipotle’s on the other end of the shopping center and vs Chronic Tacos on PCH.
If you like refried beans and Spanish fried rice in your burritos, this could be your place🌯
This is not my personal favorite place, but I recognize that a lot of people vibe here 😊
Avocado or guacamole is $5 extra!
Extra salsa is $1.50 extra
Limited indoor seating, but that’s okay because many people take it to go.
NOTE: The shopping center parking lot officially is not for use by Sancho‘s customers—it is confusing, but just be aware.
