Dude must have had a bad night because is asking a bartender for water not the most normal occurrence ever..? Then he goes "do you even know who i am?!?" Hahaha no. We don't. A bartender? Super weird and lame way to end the night.

"The Place" is a little dive bar in CDM. The food was typical bar food, but why I went to 2 stars is the unfortunate behind the scenes look into the kitchen and prep area. It looked like one of those places "Bar Rescue Show" would say was extremely dirty. The bottles on the bar shelves also had open pour tops that would allow for ffuit flies.

Just weird. Bartender was good, and typical dive style bar. Issue, full blown prices. Four Tito's and soda (singles), $64. What? I am from Las Vegas, and am used to prices, but if that is what is standard in area, for a few tables hobbled together, wow! I suggest go elsewhere at those prices, and find some atmosphere.

This is a real locals bar. Was in here today for SC football. There are at least 15 TV's with multiple games on. Inside is small, probably holding about 10 at the bar and tables, if full, holding another30. It was not that hot a day but even with fans going, it was quite warm. The bartender did a very good job handling everyone and getting food orders out. The burgers here are very good and cooked to order. They had two IPA's on tap. Burger with onion rings was about $20. I probably wouldn't go here unless there was a sporting event not in my package, but I don't think there's another bar of it's type in CDM.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Dude offered alcohol to (clearly) minors, service was sub par at best, Charlie was extremely sassy and rude/passive aggressive. Food is mediocre and left feeling disrespected.

Nice surf beach bar atmosphere. We were here last weekend to hang out for lunch and some brew. I love the fish n chips here, Got my girly girl a burger and fries. I got the Fish nChip meal with some beer. They have a big alcohol selection in the bar. I had to not drink a whole lot when i am the driver to drive home. Food is excellent here. Staff are cool. I will try and make this a go to place of mine.
Amazing place to watch the game and have some wings!!! Locals and those visiting are welcome.

This place is awesome! We were passing through and, after a day at Little Corona Del Mar beach, I really a burger. The Place delivered. The Philly Burger was DELICIOUS and Charlie took great care of us. Definitely stop in!

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon. Hopping to find a new local dive bar. This was not it. Definitely felt like the moment we walked in every one was like who are you and why are you here. Beer was stale /flat and honestly tasted bad. Thank goodness they were only 6.50 each we drank less than half and left. And honestly we won't be back. No need to with the attitude we received from the Sunday female bartender with the blonde pixie cut. It's a shame too because we would love to find a spot we can be regulars at but this definitely won't be it.
