It was the worst service I’ve ever had. In fact there was no service. We sat for 35 mins before we got a drink ordered. Food was slow. This is the second d time I have been recently with bad service.

Called and placed order ahead of time, because they always take forever. Told them we still would like to eat there, but given we have a baby we can’t do a 1.5hr dinner.

They confirmed it would take 30mins max and we can start with the sudhu

Order: 3 spicy tuna roll, 1 chicken fried rice
Time of call: 5:25pm PST
Time now: 6:10pm PST still don’t
Have food
Busy: 14 people in total restaurant including sushi bar.

Honestly a disappointing experience. The staff were helpful and attentive, but they could not make up for the food. While I did order some sashimi that was a bit off, but passable, the centerpiece of disappointment was the chicken teriyaki. The chicken was cooked well, but by far the dominant flavor of the dish was pepper. This tastes ( and looks ) like something I'd do at home in my oven. There was almost no teriyaki flavor at all, just black pepper everywhere. I struggled to complete the meal.

Amazing Teppan and fried rice. The filet mignon was delicious and the tuna sushi was great quality.

Omgoodness. Fresh, tender and tasty is the only way to describe the expertly crafted sushi and WaSa Sushi & Teppan. We lucked out to have the head sushi chef create our meal. I definitely recommend the sushi instead of the rolls. The rolls were good but a little heavy on the rice while the fish and rice balance on the succulent sushi was perfect. Pricey but worth it.

We came in to dine Tuesday evening after finding out Wasa recently extended their teppan days! We ordered from their daily specials, which was a teppan Tuesday fixed menu. Went with the steak option for $24 (chicken is available for $20), which included a choice of soup or salad, scallops and prawns, veggies, your choice of protein, fried rice and ended with delicious ice cream for dessert. Can't find those prices anywhere around. I couldn't believe the portion sizes of the fixed menu, we had enough to pack up for lunch the next day.

We ordered a few a la carte sushi dishes too and all of them were incredibly high quality, flavorful, and beautifully presented. However, the teppan experience really stole the show. A special shoutout to Chef Ricky, who served up perfectly seasoned and expertly cooked dishes with impressive flair and finesse. The show he put on for our table was a fun and memorable one!

Wasa has been a personal favorite of ours for years, and it never fails to impress. From the exceptional service to the outstanding food, it's a place I always look forward to returning to. Highly recommend!

Don't order take out from here. They will give you bad fish. The fish at the bar is ok, not great. The pic is $20 of Toro. I did't even eat it because it looks so bad.

Very enjoyable chef and sous chefs. Sushi is very fresh, well-presented, but fish slices are a little thin and less generous than some of their competitors. Service was very prompt.

No comments on the service, our waitress was very accommodating and professional.

For food, the Albacore appetizer with the crispy onion topping was an absolute smash hit for the evening, as well as the Crispy Rock roll. They both disappeared faster than I could chew. The sashimi we ordered, in addition to having beautiful plating, was absolutely fresh and delicious. The salmon sashimi in particular just melted on the tongue like butter.

Last but certainly not least, it's not every day that I dine at a Japanese restaurant with a memorable Sake selection. While sake is available at most sushi restaurants these days, after a while you tend to see the same two or three options over and over again. To have an extensive list of various sake options, as well as their house and seasonal sake options was a breath of fresh air.
