Pros: friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphereCons: Very few vegan options, even the beans are cooked in lard. Typically Mexican restaurants are easy options for vegans, but not this one. Staff was very kind and accommodating with a ready list of ingredients in the food for people with dietary restrictions.Other reviews from our group were: The “fresh” fish catch of the day was dry and lacked flavor, chicken taco was plain and also lacked flavor and carne asada taco was average and there was a chewy piece in it which had not been trimmed. Perhaps this was an off day for them, so I can’t say if this was their norm.

Such a cool chill place and the yellowtail tacos were some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Verde sauce was awesome as well, had a kick.Kid-friendliness: There were just 2 families there when we went and both sets of kids were running all over having fun. Chill vibe.

Wild taco is always a relaxing great mellow experience. I drive along way to the beach area and I always stop for tacos and a margarita. Chips and salsa are always on point too.Parking: You can always find parking way easier than closer to beach.

Nice casual Mexican restaurant. Great vibes on the Balboa Peninsula. It's not low-end or high-end. Good balance.

My friend Nick and I stopped there for a late lunch. We were greeted with a big smile from our waitress. We sat at a table inside and they have outside dining as well. We ordered chips, guacamole, and salsa to start. It was happy hour, so I had a watermelon margarita Nick had a hazy IPA. We then ordered street tacos. The Carnitas tacos were small, but they were very good. Street tacos are always small. Our waitress was friendly, very knowledgeable and also cute. I left a 20% tip because we had a great lunch and the waitress did a good job. When you get good food and fantastic service don’t forget to leave a good tip! I would highly recommend Wild Taco.

This place is incredible, the food was amazing. We ordered all the types of tacos, my favorite was the red snapper. My girlfriend liked the pollo asada taco. Fresh and warm flour tortillas, and the salsas were all unique and delicious, a bit spicy, but I like that! Our food runner and server Kanoa was so nice and helpful. He brought our food out really fast and made sure we were topped up on chips and salsa and drinks. 5/5 come by here if you’re looking for good Mexican food and solid drinks.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly, tons of kids around having fun in the grass area.

I think their attempting craft tacos & mexican food however it’s not well done. Very bland, beige mexican food. Fresh frozen. The enchiladas had salsa on them & the bean burrito was canned beans. The one thing that was ok was the spicy asada taco. My margarita was not worth $13.25. Just overall disappointing. But nice waitress & staff.

Food here is always solid. The service equally spot on. Highly recommend the ceviche and lettuce wrap shrimp tacos. Usually easy to get a parking spot right outside too!!

Solid taco joint. I want to give it more than four stars, but it's not quite a five. Not yet. It's 4.4 right now, but I'm totally going to go back, and I'm sure they will continue to deliver the goods, getting the place to a 4.6/4.7 and warranting a revised rating, rounded to a five.Menu contains more than tacos. On the taco front, there's a good variety, and they sport a fresh catch fish special. Some relatively unique tacos too, like the Potato & Black Bean. Sizes are adequate and meet expectation with the price. You have the option of ala carte or as a platter with rice and beans/salad.Selection of beers is good, and there are non-alcoholic choices as well. Outdoor seating, at the bar, or tables inside - you've got options.Parking nearby, especially if you're willing to walk a block or two.Visit. I think you'll like it.

I personally went for the tacos and those were quite good even though they lacked a bit of taste to give it the full five stars. Must add that the waitresses are helpful even though we had to wait a bit more than we expected for our food.
