The food is amazing!!!!!! We have tried almost everything on the menu. If you want a taste of Persian food, this place is outstanding.I am waiting in anticipation for an opportunity to order catering from Zood.Vegetarian options: The staff is extremely informed on all ingredients.Dietary restrictions: Felt very comfortable sharing dietary restrictions and getting suggestions on what is safe to eat.

Ordered the rice plate with beef, shirazi salad and borani. Delicious food! Customer service was excellent too. Definitely Did not expect to have such good food at a mall food court but this exceeded my expectations.

The owner was very friendly. You need to try this place for authentic Persian food. They have Persian ice cream and barbari bread

Best falafel I’ve ever eaten in my life, and I absolutely love falafel. But I was especially blown away by their homemade brown butter chocolate and halva cookie. The owner said it took him 2 years to perfect the recipe and I believe it. Literally one of the best, if not the best, cookies I’ve ever eaten.

I had one of the best falafels ever at Zood. It was perfectly spiced, soft on the inside and a fantastic crunch on the outside. It paired amazingly with the roasted pepper dressing and the Shirazi Salad. I also had the pomegranate soft serve which came with Persian fruit leather, Lavashak, which was so refreshing and the perfect way to end the meal. The food here is great, there's no doubt about it but it's the customer service that makes this place special. I had truly amazing interactions with the owners especially Mandana who was so kind and warm.Could not reccomend this place enough!

I had the misfortune of experiencing the epitome of poor customer service at Zood today. Placing an order online should be a convenient solution for a quick lunch break, but alas, it turned into a nightmare.Firstly, despite ordering ten minutes before my lunch break, I waited ten more additional minutes before heading to the food court. Upon arrival, I patiently waited for another 20-25 minutes, only to be completely ignored by the cashier, who seemed more engrossed in his schoolwork than attending customers. After mustering up the courage to inquire about my order, the cashier nonchalantly informed me that they had received no such order. No apologies, no attempt to resolve the issue. It was only after insisting and repeating my name that suddenly, miraculously, my order appeared in their system. To add insult to injury, instead of taking responsibility, the cashier blamed the POS system for their incompetence. As a regular customer, I am deeply disappointed and frankly appalled by the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed by Zood's staff.I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to anyone, let alone my colleagues. Zood and by extension Fashion Island Shopping Center, need to seriously reconsider their hiring and training practices. Do better Zood. Your customers deserve better than this abysmal treatment.

So glad I decided to stop here instead of Chick-fil-a. Healthy fresh made food. Huge tasty portions. I had the rice and chicken plate which was delicious. So was the salad and cookie. Owners were there and very personable. Highly recommended!!!

Mandana is such a sweetheart. My mom and I chatted with her while our food was being prepared. I have been wanting Persian food lately but I didn't want a heavy meal so this was the perfect choice for something to hit the flavors and keep it light & healthy. Great spot to go for lunch, filling portions and good price point. It seems like a popular choice for corporate lunches too.

Tried this place on a whim while we were at Fashion Island and i am glad we did. We just wanted a super light meal to share (call it an appetizer if you will) before we had our real dinner later. We decided to go for the chicken plate. I got hummus and eggplant dip on the side, with roasted red pepper and tahini sauces. I also got a side of pita ($1). My daughter is a picky eater, but she enjoyed the chicken and rice. The hummus was really delicious and so was the eggplant dip. Everything was on point really, taste wise. This is definitely not authentic Persian food, but I didn't care because I was not looking for legit kabob in a mall food court. Price was reasonable and portions were good. I would definitely return to eat here again! If dining with babies/kids, the mall food court has high chairs FYI.

This evening I had the zataar carrot and lentil salad with steak. Great flavors, lentils cooked just right, lettuce was very fresh and tender. Portions are ample and they don't skimp on tasty steak. I also liked the two dressings I got and could tell they were made in-house. My only criticism was the zataar carrots--they were so overly salted, they were inedible. I picked them off and threw them away. Bummer. The cookie was good--innovative with a touch of halva. It's so rich, it's enough for two people. I loved the chewy tooth and brown butter flavors, but I wish they used bittersweet chocolate for a richer chocolate flavor. I'd advise to eat this before you eat anything too garlicky so you can appreciate the subtle flavors.Hat tip to the friendly Canadian host who rang me up. Good service and I didn't have to wait too long. I'd eat at Zood again and am looking forward to trying something else next time.

Delicious and savory Mediterranean fast food. Half chicken and beef was perfect with two sides of your choice (dip and salad). Service was quick and staff were friendly.. Food court ambiance at Fashion Island mall. Highly recommended!

The food was fresh and tasty. The eggplant dip was pretty good too. There were a lot of people in the food court but we found a table.

Great fast casual Persian food. One could describe this as “the gateway drug” to traditional Persian cuisine. The quality was tremendous, as was the service.Family run by a young couple. Will definitely be back!
