Well, it all starts with the best food. And the spirit of Texas barbecue in Riverside is top notch and probably the best I’ve had in California at this point. It also helps that Marilyn was probably one of the sweetest people to meet in any restaurant. She was fun and just gave me exactly what I wanted with no issues. Spirit of Texas Craft BBQ offers awesome bbq and delicious sides in a fun, clean place with a cafeteria-style family atmosphere. The hospitality is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and helpful with ordering. Guests have praised the amazing service, noting that staff are friendly, professional, and treat every customer with respect, making sure everything is taken care of quickly. The food is outstanding. The meat melts off the bone, and the beef rib and chicken plate are absolutely delicious. The pork belly burnt ends sandwich with coleslaw meal had plenty of meat, very tasty, and the coleslaw was flavorful, not bland. The potatoes, brisket, yams, and mac and cheese had great flavor. The burnt brisket ends and brisket sandwich were both tender and delicious, and the green beans and corn bread were also delicious. The banana pudding is absolutely delicious. BBQ sauce on the table is nice and convenient. It is very pricey, but the quality in the meat is definitely there, and worth going for sure.
