Okay place. Not user friendly -- a bit chaotic to order/sit for the first time. Was there for lunch, but it seems like a fun place in the evenings.

A great bar and grill with an excellent location. Food is good and their service shows they want customers to be happy.

Not sure what happened here today. There were plenty of people working and it took 20 minutes to take our order with 2 people in front of me. The guy behind me waited an hour and asked for a refund because they never sent his order to the kitchen. But our food came quick!
Terrible service. Unless you're a regular, you get served last. It was the lady with a straw hat. Literally ignored me and another couple until all the others were served. They also don't serve a full menu until 4, so if you want other than bar food, go elsewhere. Super cute spot, at the bottom of a hill, nice vibe where you can bring your dog on the lanai!

Great food!We came for dinner. There were no seats in the bar, so we sat in the cafeteria area adjacent. It was cold and a little loud (staff was doing some vacuuming)Be aware you need to order at the bar for dinner! It wasn’t obvious to us…

Service quality is not the fault of the server - there was one person working on a holiday. We could not order food until 20 minutes after we arrived because the kitchen wasn't "ready". It then took us 35 minutes to pay our bill. DSR's restaurant is not known for its atmosphere, but combined with poor management leading to a frustrating experience this place is now extremely disappointing.

Great little ski lodge with affordable food, prices and drinks! We went during the summer to go play some disc golf and stayed for a couple beers. Make sure you try the homemade pie! This is a fun place to visit because chances are you’ll run into hikers on the Pacific crest Trail? It’s fun to talk to them about their journey. The staff was great.

Come on, you're sitting in iconic joint enjoying a delicious meal, with a drink of your choice, looking out at the beautiful Sierra mountains, what a simple and relaxing place to be at.This is a place for the hikers, bikers, workers, the commoner, and anyone else who wants to relax and enjoy life. It's old and rough on the edges but that's part of its charm and lure. Stop in and I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's worth a visit.I'm working in Truckee from Sacramento area and stop here when I get chance because it's a place like home that you want to get back to.
Vegetarian options: I know the sweet potatoes fries are excellent. I'm sure they have salads and veggie burgers too but never ordered them
Kid-friendliness: There's a big deck outside and plenty of running areas below.
Parking: It's a big open lot with faded stripes so park it and start a parking line and others will join you ;)

A nice dog friendly spot to stop for lunch in summer if you happen to be in the area. The two salads we got were good. The Korean chicken salad was pretty spicy, but tasty. This spot also seems like a stopping point for PCT hikers and has a disc golf course (no charge for golf)

They no longer serve breakfast past 11 o’clock so I was forced to order lunch. I got the Korean barbecue chicken salad. It cost $20 and it only filled the to go box halfway, although it did taste very good the Korean barbecue sauce is awesome. I just think it’s a little pricey for something that is mostly lettuce and cabbage. I really want this place to be successful because we don’t have a lot of options up here on the summit, but I’m not sure if I’m going to go back again, seems expensive for what you get.
