While exploring North Fork , I decided to stop here for lunch. Mary was my server and she was lovely. Super attentive and helpful. I had the Chuky burger with jalapeños which was delicious! It was a perfect day for thrift shopping and a burger.Oh and the chef shared persimmons with me from her property free of charge. Thank you ladies for a wonderful lunch!

My grandfather often took me to the Buckhorn Saloon. Kids weren't allowed in the main room then; it was rough, full of lumberjacks and mill workers drinking their paycheck. The saloon stood on an old stagecoach hotel site, a gateway to the high Sierra. Sam Peckinpah, whose family the nearby mountain is named after, was a patron. Last week, my daughter went there with her grandpa. She likes the pancakes. Little has changed. The last two photos in this gallery, fifteen years apart, show this. If you're ever in North Fork, the exact center of California, you must stop by.

Great people in a historic like cabin with history and pool tables! The large sour croute dog was outstandingly for only $5. Great Outdoors type inner scenery. Fun place.

Took a nice ride up the hill to Buckhorn Saloon about 11:30 today 4/21/23 with a friend for lunch but as soon as we sat down,the bartender was rude,no customer service at all! Was rude and we only ordered water and Pepsi as we looked at the menu. She laughed at everything and we we not being funny! So we left and went to Duceys,had great waitress, spent $70.00 and a big fat tip! Going to tell everyone I know not to go to Buckhorn!!

Stopped here for a quick drink and had a blast!We met all day Dave his dog Jungle! What a cute dog! Everyone here was super friendly and they made you feel like you belonged in their small town local bar! We had a ton of laughs and shared some really neat stories with some locals! Definitely try this place out! ?
