“While exploring North Fork , I decided to stop here for lunch. Mary was my server and she was lovely. Super attentive and helpful. I had the Chuky burger with jalapeños which was delicious! It was a perfect day for thrift shopping and a burger.Oh and the chef shared persimmons with me from her property free of charge. Thank you ladies for a wonderful lunch!”

“Just because it's located in the middle of California, you can still have Great pizza , can't go wrong really good pizza. My salad was Greek humongous w real lettuce not just regular iceberg filled w chopped red onions, bell peppers feta cheese, cucumbers and zucchini. Seating indoors or outdoors w a decent view of trees. Served in a timely manner too. They did not have the cheese ravioli my granddaughter wanted so she settled for the chicken fettuccine, she said it was mid. ( I think that means good)”

“The best BBQ food that we have ever had! Tri tip, chicken, brisket, loaded potato dish..all were delicious! We went to Bass Lake this past weekend, drove by Smokehouse 41,and thought, let's give them a try...best choice that we made...stopped again the next day for lunch. Highly recommend!”

“I discovered a hidden gem in Bass Lake after stumbling upon their name in a recommendation from our timeshare resort. I figured it must be worth checking out, and I was not disappointed. The menu was extensive and offered a variety of options. We ordered big plates of our choice and were impressed with the rich and tasty flavors. The portions were also generous, and the bill was very reasonable. The staff was excellent and provided great service.”

“This place is truly a hidden gem in the mountains. We had a delicious and wonderful dinner here with a really great staff and wine! I believe Jamie was the waitress we had and they were extremely helpful and friendly. The wine was great, a lot of grape varietals I enjoy that they made into blends which was refreshing to try. We had a few shareables, all really yummy and then the ribeye as our main meal, also great. We then shared the special dessert, a fresh apple pie—so good!! They also have some house cats on the property that were very friendly and made the place feel more homely. Wish we had come earlier to do a tasting but highly suggest coming for dinner, fresh and delicious!!”

“You can't beat the view. It's lovely at any hour of the day. If you can make it to breakfast before 11am, it's delicious. Try the raspberry french toast. It's delectable. Between the houses of 11am and 4pm, this more upscale part of the restaurant is closed, but you can grab lunch upstairs, at their more casual dining restaurant and bar. I had the Poke bowl, and really loved it. It was also quite the hefty portion. So definitely a lot of bang for your buck. Dinner at Ducey's downstairs us a little more upscale without being boujee. The filet mignon is incredible. I also have to mention that it's very family friendly and that I appreciated the sweet treatment my kids received while there.”

“This place is amazing! The customer service is the best in the mountains. Food has healthy options and dining area is always clean and comfortable. Warm in winter and cool in summer! Also one of my favorite parts is they have an outdoor sitting area if you bring your pets, one of the very few places up here that has that option.”

“Middle of no where Chinese food. After a day of dealing with allergies I wanted some soup and spicy food and this place delivered! Lots of great veggie options. One tip- I ordered directly via their site for delivery but it routed back to DoorDash. Idk if that is why It took long - about 50 mins for our order.”

“Very rustic setting but also very authentic. It was clear that the local tribe was running this food stand. Nice collection of homemade salsas and jellies for sale as well.Prices are very good and the preparation is to order.Overall everything we ordered was tasty and good portion sized. The only thing missing was some salt and a lot of salsa. With all the jarred salsas for sale at the stand, I would have thought that they'd have one or two open for customers to use on their food. It needed a good dose of "zing".”

“Great authentic Indian food. We had veg malai Kofta and chicken tikka masala. Spice level is a little low, so go for the "spicy" spice level if you like indian spicy food.”

“The kids love this place for the ice cream first! It's always a destination for them daily when at the lake. They offer Italian and Italian cream sodas - these are my go to when we pop in. The sodas are a treat As I don't really know other places that offer such delights. They've got an assortment of syrups to choose your flavor...I'll always go berry of some sort (mango was weird). Now that I know, I know. The pizza is amazing here! From the crust to the ample toppings, every bite is a good one. The crust always makes it to crispy on the bottom and there's never a leftover end piece! Chewy and crunchy depending on the bite, they have a really good crust here. Either planned pizza dinner or dinner in a crunch, this place is a good one to have nearby at the lake. Sadly they're only open on weekend during the off season, plan accordingly!”

My niece had also purchased a cup. Immediately getting home she filled it with her water and has not put it down since. Very happy customers. “Be careful if you're using your app and make an order that it does not default to your home Carl's.The manager helped us make an order but didn't check which restaurant the order was being prepared for. After we made the order I realized that the manager had not checked the location of the restaurant and it was ordered for our home restaurant 4 hours away.We tried to cancel the order but the app was not working after several tries. I asked her what we should do and she suggested I call my hometown restaurant in Canyon Country, California. I called the hometown restaurant and they refused to help. That manager refused to cancel my order. She told me I had to call "them" without specifying who "them" was. Then she hung up on me before the issue was resolved. My card was charged.Using the app I wrote to Carl's headquarters and explained the situation. Within a couple of days they refunded my order and apologized for the poor performance and behavior of the manager in Canyon Country.”

Met our expectations and then some. Pancakes were solid.We were the only group here while we dined but I’m grateful for Dennys as a late night Oakhurst option.”
