“I have to stop here whenever I'm in the area. Great place to grab a gift for anyone on your shopping list. Helpful staff great prices.Highly recommend: L'epi de Provence soaps. Try it once and you'll never use anything else again. My favorites: Milk, White Musk, Cotton Flower but all are amazing. ***This place has better pricing and availability than any of my super-secret online sources. (Value Note: these are 200 gram bars and they last a lot longer than typical bar soap.)***&The Naked Bee Intensive Care lotions!! Transformed my feet from sandpaper into butter in just a few days. ***Get the big bottle for a couple extra bucks. Trust me I did the math.***P.S. I'm a dude.”

“Personally I love Subway but I need to mention they are not all alike. The Prather, California location is the best. They are generous with ingredients, always have fresh baked breads, and their salads are awesome! They chop the lettuce or spinach and they really pack the take home bowls. I can usually get two meals from one salad. Living in the mountains gives us low restaurant choices. Subway has great staff. Always working as a team. Try this location. You won't be disappointed.”

“Top rate sevice, very friendly and service with a smile. The ribeye steak dinner plate. The steak was very tender and seasoned just right with the grilled onion on top. It was served with the choice of corn or flour tortilla. The refried beans were good. The rice was good as well. Then it came even with french fries and a small tostada at the start of the meal. This was plenty of food. Not to mention the free chips and salsa.”

“This pizza factory is awesome, a must stop on any shaver lake trip. We came by on the night of 2/17 before closing time. Big thanks to the register man and the wonderfully managed crew in the back, they really fling the dough way up to the sky!I was oh so very eager for the night to end and the morning to begin. I was just waiting to be standing on top of those big white mountains. We were headed to the ski slopes. But first, some food.I walked into the pizza parlor in a straight line over to the man running the register. I said “hey man, we’re going to the slopes, which is busier, Sunday or Monday?”“Sunday or Monday?”“Ya Sunday or Monday?”“Which is busier Sunday or Monday?”“No I’m asking you, which is busier Sunday or Monday?”“Yes, I know, definitely Sunday.”And then he proceeded to describe mine and my groups exact plans for the weekend “…go up on Sunday, and head home Monday…” and ended with “…that’s what most people will do anyways.”“You’ve seen my future now have you?” I saidThe register man replied, “I haven’t, but I am planning a future of my own. See, this year I’ve decided to learn the appreciation of country music.”“Nice.” I said and before I could get my next thought out, the eldest in our group jumped in, “Hey how about David Allan coe” and with a brightened face getting brighter he said again “Oh no, you have to check out the highwaymen. Each and every one!”The man behind the register and the eldest man continued to exchange a wealth of classic country greats. Hey even the girl flinging pizza dough in the back chimed in with “Seriously? You guys haven’t even mentioned Hank yet?”And the whole group including the register man all shouted “Which one!”And that is how it all started. We ordered our pizzas and lingered over to an open table. The register man just barely caught the attention of the eldest in the group “Sir” he said, holding a pen and paper. “Can you write down a list of good country songs for me?”Trying to hold back a gleaming smile “Sure kid.” And he picked up the pen and paper and brought it to our table. We at the table saw the exchange at the counter, and we all knew what this meant, now it was time to get down to business. Who is a country singer worthy of fitting on this 3x5 piece of paper? Not long passed, we had the paper filled front to back with a list of only the greatest. We turned it in at the counter in exchange for our two large pizzas. We ate our pizza and discussed the various opinions on the assignment we had just turned in. The register man and the pizza crew, while circled behind the counter, reviewed our list and they too discussed the various opinions they had on it. During these discussions, every so often, the two groups would glance over at each other with giggles and excitement. I am not exactly sure what those glances mean, or the purpose they hold, but they were there. And they were there all because that register man had the guts to start something. To the register man, whom I do not know a clue about, all I have to say is thank you! You made our night!May His light continue to shine brighter on you in all your days to come! God be.-your friendPS And ya, so what if it didn’t go down exactly like that. “It’s not what you look at, it’s what you see.” - Lex Gillette”

“Popped into the new Table Mountain yesterday for a coffee break while on Millerton Rd. We instantly knew we had to come back the next day for dinner. Sukai did not disappoint. It’s so refreshing to enjoy such a fabulous sushi & teppanyaki meal while overlooking the Fresno valley. The drinks, meal, and view were spectacular, but the service truly elevated our experience. We are especially appreciative of Kaylyn, our server, who was not only attentive but especially friendly & just an overall asset to the experience at Sukai. Danielle, the manager, was also excellent and ensured we enjoyed our first experience of many more to come! Pro-tip: if you don’t care about the teppanyaki table experience and just want to enjoy a jaw-dropping view of the Central Valley at sunset, request Table 14 by the window. Glad to have Sukai in Fresno!”
