Long John Silver's

It's not The Long John Silver's of old. It has been a very long time. It was a favorite of mine 80's & 90's. The look of the fried fish pieces had a different look. Maybe it was fried longer or maybe the oil gave it a dark orangey look and not the light color of most batter dipped fried foods. It still taste the same so no problem there. Had a pretty cool promotion, can pick one SeaShare (I chose the 6 fish) for spending $25. That's very easy these days at most fast food restaurants. The promotion was a $14 value. Not bad. Also the fries are now Waffle Fries. That made a nice difference in the meal. Overall decent meal great value with the promo.

Haven't been to any LJS in over 4+ years because the quality of the food was not great. Pleasantly surprised the food was better than I expected. I had the fish and chicken platter, cheese bites and a soda. It was fresh and not soggy like my previous encounters. The food was good and soda was not flat like my very last time at a LJS location.

I don't know why this place isn't packed everyday. As far as fast food goes, especially seafood like fish and chips. Their recipe is delicious.

Personally I love the fish and shrimp combo, then I'll add a side of fried clams. They're rediculously good. All of the batter is seasoned, and the fish comes out flaky and tender with a crispy batter crunch. The hush puppies are the best I've had in a very long time, and I grew up in the south earing catfish and puppies at least a couple times a month.

I've never been inside, I just go to the drive-thru. The staff has always been very courteous, and the food always hot and fresh. If you love deep fried whitefish, definitely give this place a shot.

Best fish around

Very kanjoos when it comes to serving others. Rotten old coleslaw and stinky old oil used again and again for frying the fish that is so heavy and greasy. What do you think your customers wont know?? Change your practices and have some shame. You can cause elderly to become sick and ill.

Updating review: better than before, but please keep using fresh oil for health of customers also. Thank you.
