Person taking my order did not repeat back the order I gave her. And I have to say, I didn't ask her to repeat. After I got the bill, that's when I saw that we had a misunderstanding. I'm thinking, never mind, I'll give the extra food to my kids. When I got home, I have the wrong amount of food. I know it's my fault I didn't check but I was the first but I was in a rush to get out and I was the only customer there!!!!! My order number was 1! It's not worth it for me to drive back and get the siopao they missed. Lesson for you readers: Have them repeat your orders (like they normally do in other places) AND make sure you have the correct order before leaving.

I was never a fan of the place to begin with because of my previous negative experience regardless of branch and food but today was especially disappointing. It's bad enough that their prices are soaring but the quality and quality is decreasing/declining as well. I was surprised when we ordered taho this afternoon that it's barely 60% of the container when it used to be almost to the brim. Maximizing profits this way is a surefire way to fail and lose customers. Don't penny pinch thinking you'll save money because you will get a result far worse than losing sales.. a ruined reputation.

Went over to get dinner at this restaurant and after getting the order this guy who was counting the money started shouting at employees and all of us customers can hear it. Clearly this guy who was counting the money is harassing, intimidating and belittling employees. He is displaying his prowess that he can do this in front of customers, that is very disturbing because customers are trying to eat and we can observe the commotion. This guy also gave us very little small packed condiments and when i ask for 1 additional, he is charging me for additional condiments wherein i saw him gave it for free to others. This is a very bad experience. Never again will I get food from this place it this guy is still around.

DON'T GO TO NORTHRIDGE CHOW KING!!!! This particular Chow King is the worst! Older cashier had the worst customer service and other younger person who seemed to be the trainer was equally poor at people skills. I specifically asked to wrap the siopaos I bought and older lady said it'll take longer to wrap all of them! I said I'll wait. Got home, and they didn't wrap them! They didn't even say anything or apologized. Younger short haired person was so unfriendly and so tight with with their sauce! Uggh never going to this place again!

Negative 5 stars right now.I bought two siopao on Sunday morning. They had ran out of their siopao sauce which should've been enough of a reason to say no. BUT bought two anyway. Anyway had a bite of one enjoying it for 0.4 seconds until I pulled out a 30 cm piece of black hair. I have never thrown up so fast in my entire life. I would've taken a photo but it was so disgusting all covered in my vomit. Threw the rest and the other one away and I will never return to this establishment. You have gained a hardcore enemy and I'm still disgusted as I feel like there's hair still in my mouth.

They have theeee best fried chicken!!!!!!! However, the service is inconsistent! This last time I ordered chicken, soups, chow mein, and 3 siopaos. Got home and the siopaos were not in the bag. I called to let them know I was coming back to get them. The person on the phone said, oh ya you didn’t grab them. Um, no, you did not put them in my bag and there was nothing else on the counter. No accountability.I go to pick it up and the cashier said the supervisor said I had to pay for them because he for sure put the 3 siopaos in my bag. The supervisor must’ve been high that day. I just talked to someone who knew I was coming. The cashier then said, ok I’ll just give it, it’s fine. Of course it’s fine. I never got them. I’ll be taking a break from this Chow King for a bit.

Was never a huge fan of this place but it does its job! I normally don't get their siopao but when my mom brings it home very rarely, it's pretty good. Especially reheated for the rest of the week. I normally get their red bean sesame balls (buchi) and siomai honestly. I'm never in the mood for anything else. Their Thai tea is always a disappointment but I get it anyway, even with their boba which is also not very great. The chewy texture is lacking and the Thai tea itself tastes way too sweet (maybe too much cream or needs stronger brew). I've had their chow Mein and garlic chicken before and they are just okay. Like I said, if you're looking for a quick bite in the area, this is probably a good choice other than typical fast food. IG: @ammysalamii

They have poor service, their chicken is usually ok but they're lazy and they won't even bother giving you any sauce.

Chowking is one of the best Filipino small restaurants here in California. Their halo halo is one of my favorite especially summer time. Beef noodles and pork asado siopao is also really good. Employees are very nice and friendly and the parking is good too.
