I love the food here, but I hate that they don’t have prices on the menu. They talk about their promotional specials, but it’s really hard to tell if it’s a great deal when you don’t know the prices of anything. The other problem is the waitress I had today paid no attention to what we were saying, we had to repeat ourselves multiple times (Maybe she was new). When we had to have the conversation about promotional specials multiple times, we could see she was having a hard time understanding our order, so we opted for the manager to step in. He did a great job of stepping in and resolving the problem. But once we got home, we found multiple things missing from our to-go order. It sucks that the help there is always subpar because the sushi is really good.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The sushi here is the best sushi I’ve ever had, sad I moved to the IE about a year ago because I have yet to find a sushi place to even compare to this place!

Horrible Experience – Shady Menu Practices and Ridiculous Prices
I had one of the worst dining experiences at Agua Chiles Sushi Bar and felt completely ripped off. First of all, their menu doesn’t display any prices, which should’ve been a huge red flag. They lure you in with a sleek look and decent presentation, but the moment the check hits the table, you realize just how shady their pricing scheme is. It’s absolutely unacceptable in 2025 for a restaurant to operate like this — hiding prices just to trap customers into overpaying.
The most outrageous part? They charged $8 or $9 for a miso soup — a tiny, basic item that’s INCLUDED at nearly every other sushi place I’ve ever been to. No heads-up, no warning, just a quiet upsell on something that’s usually a free courtesy with your roll. It feels like they intentionally omit pricing details so they can tack on nonsense charges and hope you’re too polite or embarrassed to challenge it.
Overall, the food was average at best, but the lack of transparency and borderline predatory pricing completely ruined it. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you're not into getting surprised with an inflated bill for basic items, stay far away from Agua Chiles. There are far better sushi spots that actually respect their customers.

Great food, no complaints there! My husband and I go here all the time as our go to spot, the service has been great these last few visits. The young man Iven recommended great rolls last time when we wanted to try something new. My favorite is the armadillo roll. If you come here you have to try it.

Overpriced. No prices on Menu so it was confusing by paying the bill. You don’t know what you’re paying. The gratuity is automatic and charge 18% for group of 5 people. Food too salty.

Gratuity is automatically and arbitrarily applied. You can see the bill until after paid. Menu with NOT listed price. No QR in sight. The waitress didn't tell us to check their website for prices when I asked about it. So at the end you pay anything they want. How to claim if you don't know the prices. If you are a group of 5 people, they charge 18% of gratuity and as you don't know if it is already included because no bill to check, you pay more tip that they happily receive because they are not able to say "tip already included". At the end the final amount to pay gets ridiculous. They still dare to ask; do you want the bill? I feel this place doesn't comply with the Honest Pricing Law, technically named SB 478 law. This law is for protecting California consumers from deceptive pricing practices. Food is not that good. Something fishy is happening there.

We were looking forward to this restaurant and well, it disappointed in a couple ways. The waiters and waitress were very nice though I do believe they were short staffed as the ambiance was slightly busy but nothing crazy. We got a table and ordered (no prices on the menu - big sign) - a little bit later I received my food (no miso soup though) but it took 15 more minutes before my husband to receive his. And, what’s the rule… you never eat until everyone has their plates. That’s just flat rude. So, I waited, yes mine got cold. He finally received his food and it was a big platter. He was shocked because he didn’t order that big of a platter. But, he ate it. The quality was good, but that’s it. What are we going to do - send it back. I finally asked about the miso. Average soup and not so good. Needed something more but not sure what.
Finally, lunch was coming to an end and I asked for the check. Let me just say that platter was not worth the $90 alone we got charged! No prices on the menu or not… not worth that price. Maybe $60 - and that’s a hard maybe. I was out right shocked. I would have never guessed our bill was going to be $118 for what we received.
I would not go back here because of that. I appreciate the staff for sure but after that - you only get one chance to make an impression on me.
Nope, that’s it. All in all not very impressed and wouldn’t recommend.
That’s just my opinion.

They have the best sushi rolls around! The rolls are are big and filling and the chefs put their own spin on sushi by adding a little Mexican flare. Love this place!!

Honestly I’ve been coming here for more than a few years and every single time I come here the service is absolutely terrible however I really like the food, last night I invited a bunch of my coworkers out here and we experienced the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any other restaurant, first off the menu doesn’t include any of the prices your better checking online to make sure that you’re okay with what you’re paying for but regardless we knew somewhat of what we were ordering everything was fine until closer to the end of the meal when the server started to make mistakes with our food, 24.99 for yellow tail for 2pc and then again 24.99 for a 8pc is ridiculous meanwhile we ordered a second round of rolls and when the server brings me the roll tells me that this is a valley roll confidently and I let her know this isn’t a valley roll ( I ordered the same roll prior for my first roll) and brought me something completely different but instead of offering it to the table proceeded to offer it to another table then took another 20 mins for my roll for it to be half made like 50% of the roll was missing because they wanted to rush it out. Then when we first ordered we got spicy garlic edamame that took 35 mins to come out meanwhile everyone’s entrees had already come out. I don’t blame the server because I feel as she was doing her best but the other person whom seemed to be the manager was the problem when we told him about the rolls & the check he made a loud grunting sound like he was annoyed mind you there was only one other table with us in the restaurant but when receiving the check is when we decided that this was just ridiculous. My friends check was split into multiple items like a 1/2 coke 1/2 coke 1/2 dragon roll 1/2 dragon roll and also insisted on doing a gratuity tip, then proceeded to hand my other friend two separate checks when she only needed one so that she’d have to double tip. As much as I love the food here the service continues to keep getting worse. Please rethink coming here.
