Sea salt latte was not good no flavor just watered down coffee with a bitter taste. Mocha latte tasted like a cup of water with chocolate and coffee. Finally the halo halo was not a halo halo. Overall disappointed and overpriced.

We went to have dessert. Cozy place, excellent service, good food. It is a nice, relaxing place for students and gen zs, not much for those in the 60s and 70s. It's worth a try. We enjoyed the starters and upside down halo halo.

The halo-halo is too sweet and non traditional. The baked goods are so sweet that we are not able to eat despite the small size. Too expensive for the value of the food being sold. Atmosphere is not relaxed.

They’re drinks are NOTHING like the pictures. I feel like I was sold on how good everything looked, then super disappointed that our drinks were so small and mediocre. Not impressed for a first timer that spent almost $40 on 4 drinks.

Only think not great is the metal chair. The edges of the back of the chair dig into you.
I went Sat 08/02/25 and they were giving away free matcha pandan lattes. I got the halo halo bread pudding, came with ibe ice cream, and ate it there. So GOOD. Took a ube lecha flan cupcake to go that I had today, and it was so moist and thick and good!!!!

This cafe is small but dimly lit when we visited in the afternoon. Service was decent and servers were chatty with other customers. This can be a good place to have meetings. Some of their dessert options were sold out, so we will be returning to try their other options, but their ube cheesecake was one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. The skyflakes crust was well made.

a must-visit for ube lovers!!
all sorts of ube-themed pastries along woth a wide selection of drinks and other treats (many themed after filipino cuisine!)

got an ube latte, but i think the ube cheesecake really stuck out to me as really delicious! my friend tried out their ube pop tart - delicious when warmed. would come back to try out other pastries or even their halo-halo.

a great place to hang out or even study - I think I'd go here to soothe any cravings for filipino/ube desserts!

Always come here for the matcha monster milkshake. Instead I received a normal milkshake. I thought it was the wrong order but the worker clarified that there was indeed matcha in my grey milkshake. Couldn't taste the matcha. I had to add in my own matcha back at home. If I wanted a regular oreo milkshake I could go anywhere else.

The desserts here are reaaallly good. I ordered the Matcha Monster and the Ube Butter Bar. My friend ordered the upside down halo-halo. The tastes of their desserts are consistent as to what I had before. It’s very good that I had a to go ube leche flan cupcake. Try ‘em all while in LA! Also, the place has a chill ambiance to spend time with friends and loved ones and the staff are very nice.😊 i would definitely come back here.

Yummy yummy yummy! If you're as big of a fan of ube as I am, you'll love Cafe 86!

The Ube Tres Leches is an ube sponge that is soaked in coconut, evaporated and condensed ube milk and topped with whipped ube halaya and a crunchy layer of cashew meringue. It is nicely dense and tasty with excellent ube flavor balanced by the sweet Tres Leches and nutty cashew . For some reason mine didn't have the coconut flakes, but it's just so good. A real treat to have.

The Ube Ice cream is very straightforward and expectedly delicious. It is something that you can easily pair with any of their pastry choices, and I'll be sure to explore more of their menu.

Ambience wise, it is a cute little cozy space, and feels especially warm and inviting during the rainy day.
