got takeout and on way home car was filled with fish smell. To be safe I microwaved fish and it seemed ok but got to a part that just smelled and tasted so gross I had to spit it out.
They sent me survey and I said how bad the fish was.They asked if I'd like someone to get it touch with me and I said Yes! But no one ever did. That's worse than the bad fish. So , no , I would not recommend California Fish Grill and I won't be eating there again!

Absolutely terrible experience at California Fish Grill Northridge, CA. Tables are almost never clean, and food from previous customers often sits around forever before being picked up. Floors are dirty, bathrooms are disgusting, and there’s even a leak from the ceiling. The blinds do nothing to block the blinding sun all day. Half the staff roll their eyes, give dirty looks, and don’t even bother saying hello. The manager is dry, unfriendly, and rude — especially the short, stocky woman who flat-out refused to help a disabled customer even after being asked. Fish is sometimes overcooked, fries are over-fried, and prices are way too high for such poor service. I even saw the manager bang on a customer’s table because the person had dozed off after eating — instead of asking politely, he acted like a total jerk. Terrible management, dirty restaurant, and zero decency. Avoid this location completely.

The smell of my sandwish is not good its bad smell The shrimp sandwich was very dry from the sauce and cold melted and had no taste. The corn and filling on the outside of the bread were under the bread and not inside it. The fish sandwich is cold melted and the sauce outside the bread has no taste. Even the salad lettuce is wilted and old and has no taste. is also a quarter of the box, just enough for taste. The driver took 50 minutes to deliver the order, and it was clear from the picture and the writing that he stood in one place for some time. Note that there were only 10 minutes between me and the restaurant. I sent a message to the driver after he received the order because it became clear to me that he had been standing in one place for a long time. I sent him several messages, but he did not respond or open the message. More than 40 minutes passed on the messag

She runs the floor like a master conductor — solving problems, making customers happy, and keeping the team motivated during even the craziest dinner rush. Without her, this place would be a whole different story. She’s the reason people keep coming back! District manager: please promote her to Manager/Assistant Manager — Northridge needs her leadership! 🌟🐟

I have to take a moment to spotlight Helen at the California Fish Grill Northridge location — truly one of the most exceptional team members I’ve ever encountered at any restaurant. Every visit becomes a five-star experience because of her unmatched professionalism, warmth, and command of the floor.
Helen has a natural talent for leadership. She anticipates customer needs before they’re even voiced, handles busy moments with calm confidence, and treats every guest with respect and sincere hospitality. It’s clear that her team looks up to her — and it’s even clearer that she runs the show with grace, heart, and total competence.
Let’s not sugarcoat it: Helen is CFG management material through and through. She’s already doing the work of a manager — now she just needs the title and the recognition she absolutely deserves. Her promotion is long overdue, and we hope the district sees what everyone else already knows:

California Fish Grill in Northridge is hands down my favorite location! The management is incredibly accommodating and always makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The food is consistently tasty and delicious—fresh, healthy seafood at a great price. I actually go out of my way just to come to this location because the experience is that good. If you’re looking for a satisfying and affordable seafood meal with excellent service, you’ll love it here!
