The Mexican Caesar salad was excellent, even without chicken as I vegetarian. Service with a smile and made a fun visit with my daughter at CSUN!
My party of 9 came to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately thr birthday request was not ignored. Waiter also forgot a few requests too. No one came by to see if we needed anything. Ho hum experience.
Dinner was on point. We had the new rib eye tacos they are very delicious and crispy filled with a lot of guacamole. We got recommend the new lemon drop with raspberry it's very resfreshing. The server was very friendly and attentive.
Waitress was slow at refilling drinks and getting new drinks. We went during the buffet so there was no food being served by her which I why I dont understand the delay.
Checking in was horrible. The hosts at the front desk had little control of what was going on. Even though we had a reservation, we still had to wait almost 40 minutes before being seated even though others with NO reservations & similar size party were seated before us. There was one of host, ‘Senise', I believe her name was, that was helpful and finally seated us.
Food was delicious and our servers were super friendly. Only thing I didn't like was that the front staff didn't explain to us there was an open buffet lol.
The service was exceptional! They were able to accommodate our requests for a party of 11. And can't beat the happy hour! We all had a great time and will definitely be back! Thank you El Torito Northridge!
Service was great, waiters friendly and on top of taking care of our party with what they needed in a timely manner.
Had a horrible experience, drove all the way to Northridge to go to El Torito. Ordered fajitas it took over an hour to get them and when they came, they were cold to the waitress about it. They did nothing.
El Torito Northridge, CA. Saturday afternoon. Not busy, empty tables.
Said the wait would be 20 minutes. Not particularly friendly or welcoming hostess. Waited for a while, looking at all the empty tables. Not a good feeling about the vibe. Left and went to a nice restaurant.

I’ve been going to el Torito to since I was young because my mom loves the restaurant ! And so do I. The food is consistently good and I’ve tried many different dishes. This time I got the burrito especial which was delicious! The tortilla had an enchilada sauce on it that was very flavorful and good. I very much enjoyed it! But portion also so I ended up taking half home. My aunt got the chicken and sour cream enchiladas and my mom got the sizzling enchiladas. They both thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The sizzling enchiladas were surprisingly light but flavorful and my mom was able to eat both of hers.

I went to this location for my Uncle's birthday today and I must say I was unimpressed. The service was subpar and they messed up my togo order. I ordered sour cream enchiladas with double rice, no beans. Mind you, I placed a Togo order for my food, so I could go home and enjoy it. When I got home and sat down to eat my food, I found that they had placed beans on my plate, scraped it off and covered the beans that they couldn't get off with rice. They don't know if I was allergic or not. They gave me the same plate with beans on it, even though I asked the waitress to make sure there were none on my plate. I am very disappointed, it seems like they were more concerned with saving a few coins on a Togo plate, vs giving me a new plate with no beans on. This would have been worse if I was allergic to the item I asked them not to put on my plate. Smh..

I came here for some happy hour bites, and I’m so glad I did! The cantina offers happy hour every day from 3 pm to 9 pm—who doesn’t love happy hour every single day?
I tried the chicken sopes ($6) and the street corn off the cob ($4). Both were delicious, but be warned—there’s a bit of a kick to them, so next time, I’ll ask for a little less spice.
It seems like a lot of people come for the margarita flight ($10), which includes classic mango and blackberry flavors. The waitress suggested I try one since it’s a top seller, but since I don’t drink, I passed. However, if you enjoy a good drink, they also offer $4 draft beers during happy hour.
They have a variety of specials throughout the week too. For example, kids eat for just $1 on Wednesdays with the purchase of an adult meal, and they offer a fun brunch on Sundays. Be sure to check out all the great deals!
