I don’t usually write reviews, but as an Afghan woman, I wanted to support an Afghan-owned business. After seeing some positive reviews, I decided to give it a try, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t match my expectations. I don’t think think this place had anything positive. The customer service was disappointing; our order was taken incorrectly twice, and in the end, we were served the wrong dish. When we mentioned the mistake, we were told we should have ordered something else entirely, which felt dismissive. The owner seemed very cocky and passive aggressive. The food itself was not fresh, lacked flavor, and did not meet basic sanitation standards. Sadly, we had to throw it away for both taste and hygiene reasons. This was, unfortunately, the most disappointing Afghan meal I’ve tried, and I am surprised by the positive reviews given my experience.

The food was bad the service was bad. The lady pretended to be sick and started yelling, and it was just an overall really bad experience. Would never recommend and we ended up taking like a couple bites and had to throw the rest away. Definitely shouldn’t still be in business.

Good quality, very generous portion and really nice lady owner. She offered two bottles of water for free. We respect her hospitality and sweetness. May God bless her and her business ?

This spot is cute and has nice Afghan food. I’m docking a point though because it wasn’t the cleanest when I first arrived there, and there was only the owner who worked there with no helping hand or support which did delay my plans a little bit. She wasn’t there initially either when I arrived, so I was going to leave after waiting a few mins despite ringing the bell and calling. She makes good food, but she also charged extra for miscellaneous things and did not share or disclose prices of other dishes that I ordered or additional naans that were “offered” - there were pictures of dishes on the wall and a general cost of $19.99 which appeared to be for all dishes, but unfortunately that is not the case. The door alarm constantly went off too because I sat near the door and little movements would trigger it.

Orders are not ready when promised. Customers still wait even when ordered ahead of time.
when we pulled up to the parking, the lady came out asking us to park a little far saying the parking is for her customers only and we told her that we were coming to her restaurant and then after we went in she was telling us that the homeless people are always blocking her parking but i would rather have her asked us if we were going to her restaurant rather than assuming otherwise yk. they were nice enough to let me use their employee only restroom. we ordered their chicken wrap which was 4/10 it was cold and it wasn't anything special we also got their chicken afghani plate which was a 10/10. as we were leaving we asked for extras hummus and it was $5 but as i was pulling $5 out of my wallet she saw a $1 bill too and she asked for it and then put it in the tip jar, which i didnt quite like because i was gonna tip regardless but asking for it like that is weird to me. i feel like everywhere if the owner is a little older they have this habit of doing this with tips but overall they were nice but those are some of my suggestions.
Parking: good plenty of parking

The older lady that worked there took a while before noticing i was a customer. I asked for white rice for my plate, she still gave me fried rice. There was a big portion of rice, the hummus was not thick n creamy, it was watery. The portion of the chicken was small, not like the pictures on the menu. She was a nice lady, but the service.

Platters are Pretty expensive. Everything is close to $20 bucks.
Came on a rainy winter night. The owner was very kind and welcoming. It was my first time having afghan food, and it was great! I got the ashak which are a dumpling with yogurt and tomato sauce. I was dinning alone so I just tried one dish, looking forward to coming back and trying more! Be prepared to wait a little as it is just one person doing everything.

Terrible food. Super oily. Way over priced.
So delicious!!! Got the qabuli Palao and the chicken sandwich and both were 10/10. The owner is very sweet and really puts love into the dishes! Will come

I had the pleasure of dining at this Afghan restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. The service was prompt and friendly, making us feel like valued guests. The food was a revelation; the flavors were exquisite, and the portions were generous. The ambiance was cozy and authentic, transporting me to the heart of Afghanistan. Whether you're a fan of Afghan cuisine or new to it, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return for more delightful experiences.
