This little cafe is homely, welcoming and has a feel of you belonging there instantly, being noticeably appreciated from the moment you walk in. English and Spanish alike, whether your intentions are mate, coffee, tea, hot/cold or satisfying your hunger, it’s a great place. From the moment I walked in I was treated like a family member by the owners and staff. A discussion about pastries, and mate ensued in depth like I was a visiting cousin. The hot mate service was prompt and the empanadas/sandwiches de miga I ordered were hot and tasty with an instant feeling like I was in Argentina. A highly recommended gem by all means.

Found this place while trying to kill time in the valley. They definitely have the best empanadas in LA, and as a person who does not really like mate, they made the drink taste incredible with guava syrup. Will definitely make the trek to the valley again for this place.
