I've been coming here for 28 years. I love their sandwich and I'm glad they are continuing the same menu. The place is small and outdated but very clean. My go to sandwich is the foot long pastrami which is big and filling. I've recently tried their meatball sandwich, also very good. Love this place, must try.

This place is IT!! I called in for a catering order for our company here in Van Nuys... I spoke w/ Suzanna and she was so professional but so down to earth and fun to work w/ to make our Employee Appreciation Day lunch a hit! Once we got the order and we all ate... nothing but amazing compliments came in! The best one was, "I know this isn't Jers. M*ke$ cause this bread is too soft and there's actually a great amount of meat"! I had tuna on Friday due to Lent, (which they accommodated great for us) and it was SO THE BOMB!! Saturday I had leftovers of the Italian sandwich... AMAZING!! I'm for sure coming back! The inside of the shop was so cozy and totally reminded me of an old school deli! This was a great suggestion from my co-worker Sam!

My Hero's has been a staple in the San Fernando Valley for years. I have been coming here since I can remember. They serve delicious submarine sandwiches with a variety of different meats to choose from. Each sandwich is served with their homemade tomato salad but you can order without it. They have daily sandwich lunch specials that are posted on the board in front of the counter. It is a great place to go for lunch, it has an old school vibe and the ladies working here are very friendly.

I am a sandwich girly, and this place was so yummy I could cry ? the turkey was high quality, the bread was soft and chewy and all the ingredients were fresh. The tomato salad is just as good as what I have heard. The ambience is old school and that’s part of the character of the store. It reminds me of my childhood and I feel like a kid. It’s a homey warm feeling. ♥️ I also had never been there before and I had two sweet ladies help me. Great good, great environment, and great service.

No cause why did I just have the weirdest experience here.. I went in pretty early and it was totally empty except for the 2 workers behind the counter. I placed my order and waited by the window seats like usual. This place was a go-to for a quick lunch near campus thats not deep fried. Anyways, these women start going on and on about people who make them speak English even though they obviously know Spanish. And how they do that because they don't want their accents heard. Like miss mam, all I did was order food :') That was craaaazy uncomfortable but ty for the cheap sandwich special.

This small sandwich shop in a strip mall is a bit nondescript with slow service (just two other parties were in there when I was, but it still took about 20 minutes after I was scheduled to pick up sandwiches for me to get my order) but delicious sandwiches! The tomato salad topping takes the sandwiches to the next level.

My family and I have been coming here for OVER 50 YEARS! This place cannot be beat!!! Whenever we fly back to LA, we always make sure to visit Rose and get our sandwiches! Do not pass this place up... you will be hooked. Best sandwiches, best staff, fabulous everything!

The sandwiches aren't goood It's literally something you can make @home lol they literally give you meat bread and tomatoes, they don't have a a lot of veggie options only lettuce and tomato salad

Loooooove this place! The food is fantastic and the recipes are original from the 60s when it opened. The steamed bread is one of my favorite parts. However lately, the young lady's making the sandwiches have messed up my order multiple times. Which I did not realize till I got home. Roast beef came with pickles this time when did not order them. wound recommend this place 9/10 times.

I’ve been eating subs from My Hero since 1972! THE best subs I’ve eaten, ever. Moved through the years, and always went to My Hero’s when within 5 hours by car to where I was staying!
The high quality of their food has never waivered! The buns are soft, yet chewy! The tomato salad in each sandwich is always fresh! Plus they give a generous portion of the protein! My favorite has always been pastrami! Lean and tasty, everytime! The staff is welcoming and genuinely happy you are there! I’ll be going in a week as I pass through the area! Will be the highlight of my trip!

My dad went here as a college kid at CSUN and introduced it to me at a young age. I don’t live anywhere near here anymore but I go out of my way to grab a sandwich anytime I am remotely close. Can’t go wrong with a ham and cheese with the tomato salsa. I consider myself a sandwich snob and this is my favorite sandwich in the whole world. Added bonus—everyone that works there is warm and inviting and treats you like family.
