Tried Myungin Dumplings in Northridge, across the street from Northridge Fashion Square. Portions here are generous, and we ordered several dishes to sample the menu.

The pork and shrimp dim sum was bigger than expected and very juicy. The bulgogi came out on a sizzling plate and had solid flavor. I also really liked the green onion pancake was crispy outside with a chewy, almost mochi-like texture inside.

The Kimchi King steamed dumplings were HUGE and could easily be a meal on their own. We also had the fried shrimp (not made in-house but still crispy) and the soy garlic fried chicken, which was sweet, savory, and enjoyable.

Nice to see the buns being made fresh. Overall, good portions and comforting food, a solid spot if you’re in the area craving dumplings.

I literally threw up as soon as I got home. I had the army soup and fried dumplings.

Food was alright, I got there at 8:30Pm and they close at 9:30 but at 9 they started putting chairs up and bringing my check. Felt a bit rushed.

Service was fast and friendly. The side dishes were amazing, my favorite was the daikon. We ordered the whole soy garlic chicken and fried rice. The fried rice was awesome but the fried chicken was phenomenal. I have never had Korean fried chicken that was this good. The batter was light and stayed insanely crispy even with the soy garlic sauce. This restaurant is two hours away from me but I would definitely make the drive to come here again.

The parking is so convenient, there’s plenty of spots! Inside the restaurant it appeared to be a slower day for them, there were no customers. The ambiance inside is charming and clean. The gentleman who helped us was nice and was a good server overall. The spicy wings were not spicy whatsoever, they’re so sweet. The banchans were so delicious. The crispy chicken buns were good. On the other hand the bulgogi portion was extremely small. The overall taste was average. I personally wouldn’t come back.

Last Sunday, my BFF and I gave this place a tryout of our curiosity. It was about 30 minutes after 1:00 pm their opening time on Sunday. There were 4 tables with other guests that got there before us, then another table of guests that came after us.
That was a good sign!

They were obviously understaffed. Only a girl that was making buns on an area, another girl who sat all the guests, took orders, served, took care on all the used dishes & cleaned all tables, and also processed payments.

So, expect the service a bit slow if you aren't in a rush.

On 3 of our orders, we enjoyed the spicy shrimp dumplings and soy garlic chicken more. Although, we think the chicken could be nicer if they were a bit more crunchier. They were in pretty good portions and decent price. We spent under $60.00 for 3 dishes.

Plenty of parking. Nice service. Overall, clean & maintained in the dining area and restroom.

We used to come here a lot, the kimchi dumplings are great and the fried chicken rocks. The free little sides are also lovely. However the prices have gone up significantly over the last year or two, and we have found cheaper authentic places around Nordhoff so we won’t be coming as often anymore.

Fresh food, but a bit bland.
