Shik Do Rak Northridge

Food is great.
We got there on a weekend and their menu does not include their specials.
So, it got pricey.
Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars 🌟

Food was adequate, nothing exceptional but the service I received was very poor. My servicer, Ms. Kim, who may be the owner was rude, no smiles, no eye contact, never checked back once I received my order and I waited twenty minutes. Finally she dropped off the check and whispered under her breath, a very faint “thank you”.I watched her greet some of the other patrons warmly, but not me. I’m usually a fairly big tipper (25%to 30%) not this time. I can’t recommend this place to anyone!

I have been a long time customer for this restaurant since 2012. I know they added 18% tip automatically. i have no problem for the tip. but this time enough is enough. The waitress name Mi Su Kang is did terrible to me as a loyal customer. I aksed for high chair, she refuse to provide high chair , she wants me bring the high chair by my self. I asked for SECOND round fish cake she refused. Usually i have no problem. This lady really did bad service. Since 2012 i have no problem with any waitress in shik do rak. Until today with Mi Su Kang in 2025. The 18 % is not appropriate for her attitute towards customer.
This is for your input the 18 % tip make waitress (especially Mi Su Kang) have bad attitude its not equivalent between the service you got and the tip you paid. Or at least add your waitress.

The waitress asked for extra tips which is higher than average, this really made me angry because I never seen people ask for more tips if it doesn’t fill their “DESIRE”. If the stuff wants to ruin their workplace, she really has a nice try.

Wow, just wow. Ordered the intestine BBQ style (cost $33 for lunch) and Egg Roe soup ($25). The soup was ok at best. Even the rice was horrendously bad. As a Korean, I couldn't believe that the rice was harder and not like sticky rice. Severely disappointed and will never go there again.

Food is really good we love it! But to force me and my husband for 18% tip? It says in the menu if its party of 4 18% tip is a must, but we are just two I guess 10% is enough. I cant believe tip is by force now. They earned more than me, I just wanted to treat my husband we barely go out.

The place was packed when I went, but the wait staff get you in as fast as possible. The food was delicious and I left stuffed! The side salad was really good.

called and placed a to-go order of the spicy cold noodles. lady on the phone spoke very little english but we managed with my broken korean. once i got to the restaurant, the interior is a darker and somewhat unpleasant atmosphere. There was only a few tables filled and it was only koreans. i believe they also charged me extra and added gratuity in automatically. the kimchi was really good though and the cold noodles was a large portion, but not the best i’ve had.

Went once for k bbq and wasn’t impressed. Returned upon friends recommendation for their dishes and really liked it! All the dishes were very flavorful! The only complaint I have for the restaurant is the smoke from the bbq.
