Sun Sushi Bar & Japanese Cuisine

It is always great to find little places that appears as a hole in the wall but puts out good food. Sun Sushi is that king of place. Very friendly and attentive service. My wife had a Bento Box Combination (Teriyaki beef, Vegetable Tempura, salad and rice) the beef was a little tuff but good and the vegetable tempura was perfect. I had a Bento Box Combination (Shrimp Tempura, California Roll, salad and rice) everything was perfect. To me the breading on the tempura either makes it or breaks it, at Sun Sushi it made it. All in all, I wish we lived closer because this would be one of regular eating spots.

Really amazing custom rolls, great cuts of fish for sushi, and absolutely spectacular service.

Parking: There is parking behind the restaurant if you can't find something directly on Reseda.

The selection of sushi is pretty expansive, but the service and quality are at best mediocre. The prices are fair and there are good non sushi options.

This restaurant is average at best. The server did not seen attentive at all to anything we were saying and the aura was unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. Their sushi is good, but not *fantastic* and their miso soup was just like the miso soup we can get from Costco and reheat it. I don't really think this place is a secret gold mind sushi place, but it is also not awful. It is simply average, not great and not horrible. The service is pretty fast for a sushi place, but we were also the only ones there; so, take that with a grain of salt.I would still recommend this place, it just would not be my first recommendation.

Me and my husband went here last night we’ve been trying to find a sushi place since our sushi place closed small place very nice people service was great and the sushi was awesome have to try the mango roll ?we will definitely be back and the prices were very good ??

Nice little sushi restaurant. Was looking for a new place after our old one changed ownership. Pleasant people. Good tasting food. Enjoyed my first japanese soda.

Cancelled our DoorDash order for no reason. Pretty terrible way to run a business. Massively disappointed. Will definitely eat elsewhere if we ever want sushi.

Not pricy, sushi meets price quality, will come back for a local sushi place. Generous ingredients in sushi hand rolls, but don't have special sushi, any typical ones they definitely have.

I visited this place based on good reviews on Google. I got Salmon and Eel Avocado rolls to go. Rice was overcooked and salmon was very soft, not fresh at all. Like it was half baked or something. Eel roll was nice. Some rolls were rolled sloppy. I want to revisit this place and eat indoor. It was 3 stars experience but I will retest the place again. Service was fast tho and owners were friendly

I’ve come to this restaurant everyday for the past week because it’s sooo good! I love the real crab special roll & when they have the seared tuna special you need to try it! All the fish is so fresh and full of flavor!
