Very disappointed—they closed an hour earlier than posted. I drove an hour and a half to eat here, only to find the doors already shut. Sad that they don’t respect their own posted hours.
Words cannot express how happy I am that they opened a Tasty Pot location in Northridge! As a Boiling Point fan, it's hard to find an equivalent in the valley and it has been years since I've lived in Irvine so I was definitely craving something similar.
I saw that this location was open until 10 PM and was pleasantly surprised that there was NO WAIT on a Thursday evening at 8 PM. BP could literally never.
The staff was sweet and I placed my order via QR code on the table. They have 4 different sauces/spices on the table and I always opt for soy garlic which was the right balance of sweetness.
The beef pot is my favorite and it also has pretty much the same ingredients in it. HOWEVER, Tasty Pot has a HEAPING serving of beef in comparison to Boiling Point which means you're getting more bang for your buck. The pot comes with its own sterno that you can turn off if it gets too hot and the server will come to your table from time to time to top you up with more broth if you would like. Your soup comes with a side of rice or vermicelli.
Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and look forward to returning.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Tasty Pot. The service was attentive and efficient. Our food came out quickly and hot!
I got the lamb and my partner got the Japanese Miso. Other individual hot pot places usually give too much Napa cabbage and not enough meat but Tasty Pot doesn't skimp out. I usually don't eat spicy and the mild was the perfect balance.
Definitely check out this location.

One of the best pots out there! My friend and I entered at the last hour (not knowing when they close) we were still served and welcomed nicely. William was the best to reassure us that we are okay. Still gave great service and the pot was absolutely delicious!! Customization was simple to do and the variety was plenty and well served. William was still kind enough to go through the menu and answered all my questions.
Thank you William for an amazing service!!!

We kept feeling nervous about being the last one and William was kind enough to notice and reassure us. Well attentive. (We still ask for our food to go ( ╥ω╥ ) still with satisfaction)

Came here late night with my friend, food was really good. We both got the lobster bowl and fried calamari. The bill was $80 after tax. Their portions are really nice size. We came in around 9 because we thought they closed at 11. They still sat us and we were able to order. You do so on your phone. Anyways William was super sweet. We offered to take our food to go because we felt bad. He told us we can still eat and take our time. Around 9:45 we asked for to go boxes because we felt bad being the last customers. William said it was okay, but he was super friendly about it. Not in a fake way. Anyways we got the check. Took our food to go so the staff can leave on time. William was funny and super sweet, made us feel welcomed. The BOH staff def did they thang in the kitchen. And they did not make us feel rushed at all. William was alone at the end of shift, he was the only server, and still did great.

It was ok. We got free tea. There were a lot of peanut options which is typical. Only one guy on the floor

very good food and fair prices, the portions are very filling! Even though we were a group of 12, they accommodated our seating without issue and our food came out fast :) The servers were very attentive and kind and patient with our large group. Thank you so much for your kindness!

This place has become my go-to spot for hotpot, especially on cold or rainy days. From my first visit, I knew I’d be coming back often. They don’t have a snack bar or salad bar, but I actually prefer the simplicity. There are only four types of sauces available, but they’re just right. So far, I’ve tried the lamb, Taiwanese, and Sichuan flavors, and they’ve all been delicious.
You can choose between rice and vermicelli, and the overall ingredients are decent, though the price is on the expensive side. The restaurant has a very dim atmosphere, which might make it seem like it’s closed from the outside.
One downside is that they stopped providing individual plates and now give small disposable plastic containers for sauces, which I wasn’t a fan of. Other than that, it’s a solid place for hotpot, and I’ll definitely keep coming back!

I’m so happy I found this place! I’m definitely going there again! I hardly ever finish my food, I usually have to take it to go, but it was so good that I didn’t care that I was getting full and finished all of it. The place is clean, spacious, and the waiter was attentive. They were all very friendly and it made my experience there amazing. I also liked their sauce varieties. 😇 There’s also plenty of parking space.

Came in on a Thursday evening. The place was not busy at all. We still waited at the door for about 5 minutes before someone greeted us and then we got seated. Once seated, my side of the table was dirty and not wiped down at all. Good selection of hot pot bowls though. They serve you the hot pot in a bowl with a Sterno underneath. Broth is refillable on-demand. The Cheesy Milk hot pot was pretty good.

It was our first time and we will be back. The selection was great for the price. We got two hot pots and they were enough to share with our two kids. The meats, veggies and broth were perfect for the cold day. They make it so easy to add on more if you want. And if your broth looks low they come by and add more. When we told our server it was our first time he was so nice to make sure we knew how to choose the best hot pot for us. He explained everything and made suggestions. He was so attentively even after our pots were dropped off to make sure we knew how to throughly enjoy it. The place was almost all booths and packed. The hot pots came out literally within minutes of putting our order in. I can see how they can turn and burn with this concept. We will be back esp with the great selection of hot pots they have.
