The energy was off from the first moment walking in. The workers could work on their customer service. They were whispering to each other about another customer. When my partner picked up our drinks, he said thank you to the barista and they didn’t acknowledge him. I picked this place because I saw a review saying the matcha was very green. The matcha latte with sweet cinnamon syrup I got was pale green and tasted like straight oat milk. $16 for two drinks is a lot. $8 for essentially a cup of oat milk is gross. The drink also had clumps of matcha powder at the bottom. It smelled off in the cafe, kinda like vomit. Disappointing experience.

On information from a friend, I visited Yonder Coffee, a little coffee bar in the Albertsons shopping center on Balboa at Nordhoff. When I walked in at about 9:30am, there was a line and with 4 (or 5?) people behind the counter, the staff was HOPPING! I thought, 'coffee must be good here.' I was RIGHT!
I orderd one of the seasonal teas they offer , Maple Hojicha Latte. Wow... what a difference from the giant chains with their ikky syrups. This matcha tea blend was so delicious and was beautifully made with a fancy design in the foam.
I also enjoyed a pepperjack turkey croissant... yummy!
My ONLY criticism is there's only the one size (for me there is no such thing as a drink that's too large!) I would love to see them have at least 20oz option. Do I have a drinking problem? Yes, but not the bad kind... coffee / tea. :-)

The coffee tastes really good. I got double espresso and it was great! The place has plenty of seating in the back patio. The atmosphere was quite with outdoor seating. Price was average. The people here are nice, but messed up a couple of my orders. They need to pay attention when taking order. It helps to repeat the order to customers.

Amazingly delicious latte and matcha. I asked for Vanilla Latte with Lavender, which was as good as it could be. Shot pulled and frothing both perfect. Matcha was perfectly balanced and just lightly sweetened. Definitely recommend.
