Classic old school Mexi/Cali restaurant with all the regulars. I’ve only ordered menudo to go from here, but decided to stop by and try some dishes in house. Tried the Chile verde tostada and three tacos (lengua, chicharrón and carnitas). The GF had the hard taco plate (one chicken and one beef). Food and service was pretty good. Nothing really to complain about and dishes were solid, but all we did was compare the food to other places that did it better. Could you find better carnitas? Sure. Same with the chile verde, hard tacos, etc. Granted there were different places for each, so have to give it up to this place for doing everything solid. Parking is rough when busy, which is why we haven’t eaten here before, but if you go after 1:30pm like we did, the place is pretty empty. Down side is they may be out of some items that late. I think we only had issue with one item, but they have so many other options it’s easy to find a replacement :)

Wow, this place is amazing. Very unassuming, small restaurant with not too many tables. The food, the green chili - best I’ve had outside of New Mexico. Service was excellent, coffee was fabulous, can’t say enough good things. I’ll be back!

If you want real authentic Mexican food this is the place, not a lot of parking but it's worth it.

My family LOVES this place but we’ve been burned many times. They close at different hours! We learned to call because they often don’t follow their hours posted. So I called to make sure they were open and was told if I arrive before 2:00 pm I’ll be good. My family arrived at 1:30 and their doors were closed. I had family visiting from New Mexico and we hyped this place up but this is the third time this has happened to us over the last year. We love this spot the food is great but now I think it’s turning into ā€œlovedā€ this spot. It’s a bummer having to waste our time. I wouldn’t have been upset with the transparency if they communicated they’d possibly close earlier.

We enjoyed breakfast (Huevos Rancheros and Machaca con Huevos), but the surprise for us was the Chile Verde. So good!

Looking for a place to eat and landed on this little Gem. My wife had Chile relleno, and crunchy taco. 8 had Enchilada with red sauce. I tasted both my wife's Chile relleno and her taco and let me tell you I would order either one and what's funny is I don't normally eat Chile relleno but this one was really good. The taco was by far the best crunchy taco I've had anywhere. My enchiladas were Soo dang good, my wife agreed when I told her I could drink that red sauce...Israel said he had fresh tamales so I had to try one. I see why he sells over 300 hundred dozen during the holidays. You have to try the jalapeno cheese ones they are awesome.. This is that little place you don't wanna miss trust me on that....

Great Low Key Spot.

My fiancĆ© recommended this place to me so I figured I’d give it a shot.

This place is small and very low key. The food was really good and prices were very reasonable. When we got there all the seats were full and there was a small wait, which meant it was probably a good spot. Shortly after arriving we were seated. The servers weee very friendly and quick to provide service.

The chips were homemade and perfect, consistently cooked but not burnt and not saggy. The salsas were all homemade and very delicious.

I tried the red pork tamale and chili verde pork with potatoes, egg and beans. My partner in crime ordered chiliquiles with salsa verde. All of it was very delicious and well worth the wait and drive. I’ve gotten the red chilaquiles and the green and both are equally great. They put green salsa in the red salsa, the sauce also comes with pieces of scrambled egg and very small pieces of pork. It has a nice kick too it as well, but u can always request for non spicy, no egg and non pork in ur sauce. The sauce is unique
