I absolutely adore hole-in-the-wall places and this is a new addition to my ever-growing list of favorite restaurants. This place did not disappoint in both food and service. I had their pork mandu soup. It's such a delicious dish for a cold day. The service was amazing. Only two people were working but managed to serve everyone who came in. I will definitely come back again in the future.

$11.99 for sullongtang (updated prices across the board). very much a mom-and-pop shop inside the same building as the sauna, homey and tasty.

The service is extremely slow. Only one waitresses who is overwhelmed and unable to manage.

My recent dining experience at Huh Dae Gam in Norwalk left much to be desired, warranting a two-star rating. Despite the attractively low prices, there are glaring reasons behind the affordability that impacted the overall satisfaction. The quantity and quality of the meat were both disappointingly lacking. The portions were meager, leaving a distinct feeling of being shortchanged. Additionally, the quality of the meat didn't align with the standards one would expect, even at a more budget-friendly establishment. The side dishes are also very lacking. One of the most frustrating aspects of my visit was the erratic opening hours. Huh Dae Gam was randomly closed during times when they were supposed to be open, creating an inconvenience for patrons. This inconsistency raises concerns about the reliability of the establishment and its commitment to customer service. In conclusion, while Huh Dae Gam in Norwalk may offer budget-friendly options, the compromises in meat quantity, quality, and unpredictable opening hours significantly diminish the overall dining experience. It's a regrettable encounter that prompts a two-star rating, as the value for money and reliability fall short of expectations.

This place is a true hole in the wall. Owned by a mom and pop, along with a recent new hire that has been helping with both the front and back of the house. This place is known for their reasonably priced sullungtang - which is a beef / beef offals soup. Their kimchi (only two kinds - radish and Napa) are made in house and are delicious. They give you them in a bowl with some scissors and you can cut it yourself. You can take the juices and put it into your broth. I sometimes just buy a container of kimchi because it's different... unique and tasty and $8 for a container (styrofoam container) full of it.

Ordered the tendon soup and army stew. The kimchi taste like Chinese made versus Korean made. The Chinese kimchi taste really sweet, and the fish sauce is far from complex. They buy it and don't make it so that is what you are getting. The dishes were just ok. The budae jigae came loaded with spam and sausage. What ruined the whole meal was that the lady was multitaking and didn't wash her hands before packaging our food. Likely, I will skip this place for my Korean cravings.

Prices are affordable, but just a couple things to consider-plan to wait some time to order/for your food because there is only one waitress, and plan to pay $1 for a styrofoam to-go container if you want to take home any leftovers.

I waited for 10 minutes and no one cared to ask if I wanted to order anything.

This is place is very economical. If you like soup (tang) then this is a good option. You have to communicate any changes to your dish very clearly. I asked them for no onions on mine, but it still came with it. Not a huge deal. Service is very nice. Ban Chan is almost nonexistent. Just kimchi and radish cubes. But we appreciate how economical the dishes are. The same salungtang in our neck of the woods is probably twice the cost. I'm not a huge kimchi guy. But my kid really likes the kimchi here. It has a unique flavor to it. Says that I tastes sorta like the flavor packets in Shin Ramyun.

Ordered a soup and it was nothing close to what the pics show out side. Was just a bunch of soup with a couple greens leafs and a super tiny piece of meat. Also didnt taste all that good, and gave me diarrhea!

Ordered the soup, bad flavor and looked nothing like the picture i Ordered from, and to top it off got diarrhea afterwards. And the owner/cook spends his time yelling at the waitress n instead of making the food better....Wld not recomend at all!!!!!!
