I was really disappointed with my recent order of butter chicken The food seemed old and didn’t taste fresh at all. I expected much better quality for the price.

I've been eating Punjabi Tandoor for over a decade from San Diego to Irvine and now Norwalk. I wish they'd open one in LA - Pasadena area closer to me haha. I got my usual Chicken Makhani and Rogan Josh combo recently and the recipes and packaging seems to have changed?? Wondering if it's just this location, but it makes me miss the old recipes and packaging. It's possible there's just a different cook?

The Rogan Josh seems the same, but the Makhani was not as creamy and the meat seems mushy. I'm not sure if the naan is the same? It seems softer and less crusty. I also miss the old packaging with the sauces overflowing and mixing together. The new packaging is more neat and I appreciate the green garnish, but I don't eat Punjabi Tandoor because it's pretty... Hope things go back to what I remember.

I was so pleased when I got my order. It was everything I was hoping for. I had the chicken makhana..i believe that was the name..I had shrimp saag and some basmati rice. I also ordered two garlic naan breads. One was huge. I didn't realize how big they were. Its very tasty food. i'm so glad it is somewhere nearby where I can actually go there and eat without having to drive to Artesia. It's locally located in norwalk.. i will be ordering again from this delicious.

I tried to order the lamb curry and the Saag paneer and the person taking my order understood that I wanted a lamb vándaloo and a paneer tikka masala I was annoyed bc I tried to clarify it multiple times my original order and it still was not what I got. There was a language barrier but regardless it was still good but just not what I wanted. I was more upset that I didn’t get what I wanted and payed for a completely different order.

Really rude customer service I never ever experienced something like this in my whole life I came today. I ordered the food after that. I order another bread. The service are yelling at me. You can’t talk like this. I never say nothing to him. The server and the cook are really rude.

If you love real Punjabi flavors, this place is a must-try! Every dish was loaded with authentic spices and that desi touch you can’t find anywhere else. The chicken tikka masala and rogan josh was creamy and rich, naan was perfectly soft, and the dal makhani had that slow-cooked smoky flavor just like home.

The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the aroma itself made me hungry all over again. It truly felt like a meal straight from a Punjabi kitchen — full of warmth, ghee, and love. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Indian Punjabi taste!

Rude & unhygienic. The guy at the counter talks fast like he’s trying to be smart but is actually rude — no “please” or “thanks,” just “bro.” Yelled at me to throw away a tasting cup instead of asking politely. No mask, long beard, no hairnet — big hygiene concern. Not coming back.

Hands down one of the best naan ive ever had, so fluffy and soft served with so much butter on top. They make right infront of you. Really nice restaurant would definitely go again and recommend to friends and family
