During a weekend drive north of San Francisco, we found ourselves in Novato and decided to stop for a bite to eat. Before grabbing our late lunch, we wanted to try a local brewery, and Adobe Creek Brewing caught my attention.
Adobe Creek Brewing is a newer craft brewery started by Jonathan MacDonald in March 2017. Jonathan was a homebrewer before turning professional. Adobe Creek is known for its tasty, hop-forward beers. At first, they only made small batches for local bars and restaurants. But in 2019, they opened a taproom for the public.
The taproom is in a parking lot in Novato's business district. It was a bit tricky to find, but it was worth the effort. The place has a simple and open feel.
I asked for a light beer, and the friendly staff member gave me a few options. I chose a clear IPA, though I can't remember the name. It was smooth and flavorful, perfect for a nice day. Since we were hungry, we didn't try more beers, but our samples were so good that I knew I would go back and explore more of their offerings.
Overall, Adobe Creek Brewing is a great place to visit if you're in Novato.

I am a hazy/ipa fan so Adobe creek right up my alley- I was surprised that their super terpers was my favorite where I usually lean toward the hazy/ New England style. Enjoyed their selections of hoppy beers!

Almost cliche, with the typical IPA heavy lineup and located in an industrial park. None of the beers tasted, (6) stood out or were memorable. A four sample flight and a beer were $28. By far, the most expensive of the 6 breweries tried that weekend.

Only brewery in marin county worth paying for a pint or more on site. Great selection for everyone. Dog and kid friendly. Video games, darts, board games, and more. Sports watching. Friendly local crowd. People come to talk to each other. Great vibe and logo design.
