Great salads , wonderful kids menu options. My youngest has salmon and veggies and loved it. I usually order chicken strips or burger for the older kids. Everything we have ordered there has been fresh and tastes great. It’s a restaurant that I return to knowing I will leave satisfied. Salads are pricey but they are also huge and can be eaten over two meals or shared. My favorite is the Cobber.Kid-friendliness: 100% kid friendly

The food is excellent here, great quality but the customer service needs major improvement. My last visit, I went with my daughter , and placed an order for four people, between the sandwiches, and salads we had a bill for almost $85. It was dinner time, and we were the only ones at the restaurant. There were two helpers, one was managing the cash register and a young lady was handing the orders out. When the buzzer went off, and I went to hand it to the young lady, she looked at me, and told me "you see there, there is a basket, you put it there". I have left the buzzer on the counter, basically gave it to her. First, her comment didn't register, but as I was walking away with the food, I heard both employees laughing and making comments about she telling me to follow her instructions. I turned around, and asked her what was the purpose of her unfriendly behavior, did it make her feel important or maybe she thought she was ridiculing me? As much as I like the food, I won't be visiting the restaurant or ordering food to go. There are many places where nice employees are happy to help local customers. Talking with my family a few weeks ago, they were telling me that my great auntie went to order fries around 6:30 - 7:00 pm, and although the restaurant was still open, they had already cleaned the fryer and they weren't doing fries at that time. Well, if they clean up the kitchen early, then, they should put the closed sign and be done for the day, no need to be rude.

I've been here twice, once for the Cobber salad and once for the Casbah salad. Like other reviewers, I agree the prices are painfully steep and inaccessible to many, especially for veggies. I know groceries are pricy, but oof. Salads range from $17-21 and sandwiches from $15-19. However, the salads are HUGE, beautiful, creative, and delicious. The atmosphere is really nice, the staff has been polite, and you'll be served quickly. Can I afford to be a regular here? Absolutely not. But these are definitely some of the best salads I've ever had and are so worth the occasional splurge. If you think salad is boring, this is the place that will change your mind.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian salads, two or three vegetarian sandwichesKid-friendliness: Kid's menu, back patio, open seating plan

The most dismissive, rude service. Guy with short dark hair and mustache is rude to the point where I was actually shocked. The other staff wasn't much better. When my buzzer went off to pick up my food I dared to approach the wrong person and she said, with annoyance, 'You go over there!".I'm so over bad service ?

I am giving this deli 1 star due to extremely frustrating experience. The woman who took our order said she was the manager of the restaurant. Not sure but the check for a turkey sandwich, 1 bag of chips and a root beer was $30.00. Seemed a bit high so I asked and she told me that she had added a tip for herself. She added a 20% tip for herself without asking if we wanted to tip. This is for counter service! Who does that??? Upon questioning this amount she gave us a receipt that reflected the correct amount and said it would show up on our credit card later? Really I do believe that her actions reflect a high degree of nerve, and the tipping situation is out of control. Her actions very negatively impacted our experience at this restaurant!

Overall Great Restaurant. I go to this place a couple times a year and it is not disappointing. There is ample seating all around and their outdoor seating in the back is beautiful. The inside is beautiful too. The food and drinks are great and my kids love their ice cream. The staff are always kind and the wait is not long. The only reason I rated Blue Barn 4/5 is because I'm not in love with the prices. Over all I would recommend.

Food is wonderful but the tipping is insulting. They take your order at their counter after you read the menu on the wall. You pay the machine. It immediately asks for a tip. You haven't got your food yet. You pay by yourself. You get your own silverware and napkins. You don't know if you will get your food in a reasonable time, you live on an area that pays " a living wage" . But the tip is the biggest part of the transaction. A real turn off.

A solitary salad: Cobb $24.73 out the door Tip (for what?) $2.00 Total: $26.73 This includes the following- Order at the counter Get your own water and silverware Find your table Wait for the groovy hockey puck to light up. Go get your food. Take it back to your table. Salad consisting of: lots of lettuce (mostly), sliced processed chicken breast, some cherry tomatoes, one sliced hard boiled egg, some small bits of bacon, dressing, one slice of french bread, no blue cheese that I could find. Avocado? What's that? ...too expensive. THIS is the state of restaurant food in a lot of similar places. The result is INFLATION. Know what to do about it? JUST SAY NO. When we start saying no to mediocrity there will be changes. Needless to say, they don't get a second chance. $26.73!!!!!

I asked to have a sandwich with grilled cheese, pickles, onions, avocado, tomato, lettuce, mustard and mayonnaise. While very pleasant, the staff informed me that they could do mustard or mayonaise, but not both. They had both, she said, but the only way I could have both on my sandwich was to have the mustard in a cup on the side. This lead to the bizzare experience of having to open the sandwich up after it arrived and smear mustard into it because none of the chefs could manage this feat of engineering! Then there were no pickles available, I was told. Finally, the sandwich with one coke to go, cost $27. - making it the most expensive sandwich I've ever had, with no side of fries or anything - just a sandwich on the smaller side. I've had much better sandwiches at Andy's market with all that I wanted for $8. so I would not recommend for sandwiches, which is why I went there.
