I have eaten here with my family and sometimes with friends as well. A couple weeks ago, I brought about a dozen folks for an evening meal. The only reason I picked four out of five stars is because the service is often a bit slow. Also, the training needs to include projecting friendliness and welcoming. But, those margaritas!! Outta sight! I really enjoy their mole and guacamole, my husband loves the Chile relleno. So, sometimes you have to wait for something good? Maybe that's it. The wait staff were really striving to do a fine job. Kudos!

Truly great food. Best and most authentic of any I've been to in the area. Las night tried the huitlachoca ( probably spelled that wrong) and chicken and loved every bite. I also think it's great when the chef actually talks to his guests. Great food, service and atmosphere.

Our family celebrated my mom's 80th birthday at Las Guitarras and had an incredible evening! The restaurant set up a really nice private area for us in the patio and took excellent care of us. The food was great, the atmosphere was perfect, and the evening was a blast. Big thank you to Noemi and the rest of the Las Guitarras team for such a great celebration!

Great atmosphere. Pet friendly and have great drink options. We ordered the Fiesta Platter, which includes nachos, quesadilla, taquitos, and mini chimichangas. Good food for two, and you get to eat a bit of each. The oysters are delicious and they have complimentary chips. The prices are reasonable for the meals. Good repurposing of a historic building.

I've been coming here since the early 90's and it's always felt like a lil piece of home. When ever given the opportunity to choose dinner, I'd choose here. I love to take friends and family here. The staff is wonderful, sweetest family, I used to go to the location in Rohnert Park when it was still around as well. I will continue to be a patron of this establishment as long as it stands.
The best food in Boerne. Fernando’s customer service was amazing. I highly recommend . Our team had the best time.

The vegetarian dishes are not vegetarian. I was clear to the server, and asked many questions. When she brought the vegetarian fajitas that I asked be base vegan, the rice look greasy so I asked it if had chicken in it. It did. She had offered us the chicken soup that goes with the vegetarian meal and I had told her that we don’t eat chicken. But she didn’t tell us that the rice had chicken in it until I asked. Other than that the food seemed poor quality, too expensive. 2 people in the party felt sick later that evening. It was our first time there and we won’t return. Other better Mexican food in Novato. 3 stars as one person said he’s food was “fine”

Look, world class Mexican food is available in every city in this state. So a 5 star rating is almost useless around here. I'm not gonna say Las Guitarras is the best in town... But I'm gonna be quite happy with eating there. Especially because the ambiance is lovely, especially outside, and the folks there are fun and pleasant.
