Jorge was a very very attentive server. It was a lightly attended time (11:30-12:30) on Sunday, but he was very courteous and also made sure that any questions we had were answered (rice is NOT vegetarian (chicken stock) but the refried pinto beans are vegetarian). Definitely a return visit…patio is a nice area to relax. Oh, very good food as well.

The food was amazing. We were passing by driving from Sonoma to San Francisco and we stoped to get a small bite.
We highly recommend it and the waiter Rolando was educated, curtious and very attentive.
I would give a 10 star if there was a choice.

I went yesterday and the waiter was very friendly and amazing , I invited my friend today and I was excepting same service but the waiter wasn’t good , my friend order the pineapple drink and it was little old we ask for change it , they bring the manager and starting explain why it’s old. But he wasn’t friendly and kindly talking , i felt bad that I had to let my friend to go through this experience, i could take her to another restaurant and enjoy food and service .

I was there yesterday 4/6/25 with my family, around 3:11pm we spent almost $400 for our lunch. Our server was Jorge R, older man around his 40’s 50’s years old. When we got there he was nice, then toward the end he was very rude and was rushing us to pay the bill. He was not nice at all, we were very unhappy with his attitude at end. We went to the Maira at 340 Ignacio Blvd, Novato,CA 94949 I just hope the manager on the owner will talk to Jorge, it was not professional the way he handled.

The restaurant is very beautifully decorated and looks great. We tried the fajitas and loaded nachos. The portions were huge and the food was excellent. The side of elote corn was also delightful.

I hosted my company Christmas party there. Omar and his staff were wonderful, the back patio was beautiful and the food was great (but the margaritas were better). Highly recommended this place for any occasion.
