This was a surprise find in a small shopping mall. Excellent food and large portions. The alcohol was inexpensive and they have both mocktails and NA beer. It's easy to enthusiastically recommend it.
Very enjoyable evening out. I had the petrale sole and my friend had the pork chop. Both were delicious! The server was. pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. They turned the music down as soon as I requested it (which many restaurants these days refuse to do!). I love the Chicago in the '30s feel of the place. And I love that the bar is in a completely separate room, so the noise level in the restaurant is quiet. Highly recommend.
Amazing time! I saw a couple of reviews that said non-locals are not given attention. Well, if that ever was true, it's a lie now. We had the best time. The bartender was a true mixologist. Don't even look at the menu; test her with what you like. She will make something magnificent. A must-do if you are in Novato.
