Biscuits and gravey were awful, sausage in the gravey was thrown in as an after thought. Biscuits were salty and tasted like they came from a can. Not the Pillsbury fluffy kind either! Wish this wasn't the case and I could say food was good. Maybe I'll try something more in their wheel house next time.

We finally made our first visit to the new Star Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. I had the mixed BBQ plate with beef, chicken, pork, and chorizo, everything on the plate was delicious especially the chorizo which I normally dislike. We look forward to coming back or ordering takeout.

Fantastic for what it is. Which is basically a diner/restaurant. The barbecue chicken wings are possibly some of the best I've had in the Bay area. And the three-taco appetizer was also delicious. Plus, I'm a sucker for 80s and '90s country pop, which is what was playing at a not excessively loud volume.
The menu is probably smaller than it used to be.. It's more like a restaurant and less like a diner with eight pages of options.

Very clean, white table cloths! Excellent Service. Food as described and very well done. Dined In. Good variety menu. Opens at 7 a.m everyday. Website states opens at 10- incorrect. Recommend.
I liked the old menue. My hamburger today sucked. I order medium well and got a burnt hockey puck. For 20 bucks the burger needs to taste good. I would of rather had a whopper from burger king. the pineapple shrimp bowl thing sucked too.

Pros: Very clean and service was quick and attentive. Cons: Still looks like Dennys (or whatever it was originally). The booths need to go. Food wasn't the great. Three of us ate, and meat was very tough and bit over cooked. I believe they serve American, Mexican, Italian and Guatemalan. In my opinion, I really feel they need to concentrate on one style and get really good at it. So much potential but if food isn't great, it will be hard to stay in business.

The food is terrible Cold and old food, how sad that they serve something that way, I don't recommend it, very bad experience, even the little bit I ate did me harm, why did I leave the food there until the water tastes horrible? They should try the food before serving it until the water. It tastes terrible, try it and you will realize
