There’s an excellent Hazy IPA, a spot-on Dark Lager, and my favorite approach to the smoked porter style, with a more understated smoke flavor. The staff is knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is laidback.
Shuteye Brewing is a must see place if you’re traveling through to Yosemite or if you’re a local. Oscar and Taryn have cultivated an amazing community space. There’s always fun events, food trucks, music, and great conversation going on. It’s also the perfect spot to swing in after a hike in Yosemite and have a quiet beer.

Shuteye Brewery is a legendary community gem with an amazing selection of beer and unmatched ambiance. The building is clean, comfortable, and leagues beyond Oakhurst’s other offerings. Oscar, the owner, is a fantastic host—warm, welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable about the area. The beers are delicious, full of flavor yet light and easy to drink; the black, the red, the citrusy option, the lager, and the amber were all excellent, and the pilsner was honestly delicious. The atmosphere is cool with great art and a relaxed vibe, perfect for families, pets, and visitors. They offer craft beers, delicious coffee, and live music. The bar is long, and the space is welcoming. A new little gem with exciting plans, this spot is perfect for the local community and visitors who appreciate quality craft beer. Highly recommend visiting.
