I wanted to like the place. The bartender was extremely friendly and the ambiance chill. But it was a challenge to find a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy watching the NBA game. And I'm wondering why the $6 dollar hold put on my card is still hanging out there. (I don't run into this anywhere else, so the whole "it's your bank" thing doesn't fly).I was ready and willing to pay cash... Anyway if you go here, pay with cash.
Smoker friendly sports bar with the best owner/ operator in the world. Roy treats you like he's hosting you in his own living room, often beginning in delicious homemade tamales to give out to hungry and grateful pateons. This bar is one of the gems of Oakland.
Terrific bar with draft Guinness and other tasty brews with a quaint friendly vibe, tourists including Limeys are welcome , Irish flag hanging from the ceiling makes it a homely bar
