Nice looking restaurant with good lunch specials and food. The menu is worth exploring with few bad options. 5 tea options and excellent seafood dishes. I usually get the wor wonton for my kids and a salt and pepper seafood rice place for myself but I have explored most of the menu and there are a ton of tasty options from the sink noodles to ocean dumplings. Their veggies are really fresh ?

5 Spiced Kitchen is a family friendly and conveniently located Chinese restaurant in Montclair. The food preparation is outstanding and there are many choices on the menu. They have a full bar and ample seating. $ Parking is available in an adjacent lot.

My favorite Chinese restaurant since Little Shin Shin closed. I like it more than Little Shin Shins! I'm from New England and 5 Spiced Kitchen's pot stickers and wontons taste just like they did in my childhood. Delicious! Their dishes are a little pricey but worth it. Their drinks are plentiful, with generous pours, and relatively inexpensive. They have a big space with many tables. For atmosphere, they would benefit from making the space and the tables feel a little more intimate. Takeout is fast and hot. Either way, a good experience. Highly recommend!

Montclarions rejoice! The daughter of the owner of the former Chinese restaurant, the Silver Palace, has reincarnated the restaurant as the 5 Spice Kitchen and it is a treasure. Great food at good prices with good portions and a bountiful menu. You can't go wrong. Come and enjoy!

We came at an off time and the restaurant was not busy. I had my two grandsons (2 and 4 years old), their mother and my wife with me. The staff was very friendly and interacted with the children in a positive way. My daughter is a pescatarian so we have fish and shrimp dishes. The server made sure there was no chicken broth or meat product in our meals or soup. The food was very tasty. They gave my grandsons and my daughter and wife gifts as it was mother's day. We will definitely eat there again.

5 Spiced Kitchen is conveniently located in Montclair and the food is delicious! Our party of six enjoyed our shared entrees which included seafood, beef, potstickers and veggie spring rolls. 5SK has a full bar as well. Prices were a bit high- I'd say $$$ on a scale of 1-4. However, we will go back and enjoy again!

The service was good, and the beer was cold, but otherwise we were very disappointed with our meal. The food was so bland. The ocean dumplings had little taste, and the small amount of thin sauce served with them did nothing to change that. The garden medley was crispy, but again, there was no taste to the tempura batter, or the accompanying sauces. We ordered the special with pork belly and were served a giant piece of pork belly. There may have been some sauce underneath it, but it was hard to get to. The garlic noodles did have good taste and were a good texture, but overall, the food was very disappointing. We will not return.

American-Chinese style food with some more traditional options available too. Reasonable portions to price ratio, and nice ambience. We had the Pork Belly + Fish + Tofu clay pot dish, and the string bean + eggplant dish. Both very nice, though the pork belly was not hold onto your pants tender. I think that was preferred, though, with the Tofu and Fish being soft it was nice to have something with some chew.

Ate dinner with my family recently. Got to meet Shirleen the owner and was very friendly & accommodating. We've ordered take out before and they have good size portions and the food tastes great. We like the salt & pepper ribs and calamari the same way, pork buns and my sons new favorite the sweet coconut shrimp. We had a few cocktails, which is nice to have a full bar, which were good. Than sesame balls for dessert, which came out fresh & hot. The service was attentive and we look forward going back again.

My first time at this place and definitely my last. I ordered the Veggie Egg Rolls. It was very mushy like mashed potato. Kitchen Sink Fried Rice and Garlic Noodles were "okay" nothing fancy about it. Fortune cookies were stale. Not the best Asian food. I had much, much better!
