We wanted to like A16. Service was very slow we were seated at 7 and main dishes arrived at 8:30. And that is not because we did not try to order at 7:15 or 7:30. Pizzas were reasonable. Pastas were terrible overcooked tasteless and literally looked like someone scraped the bottom of the pot and threw the stuff with as little care as possible on the plates. As if all that was not enough there was a party of idiots who were having “so much fun “ they were screaming at the top of their lungs the entire time they were there. Sorry to say that after some 20 years I am not going back.

Appetizers were great - burrata, calamari, and meatballs (big hit). Pizzas very good, as was pasta. Salmon itself was lovely, although stewed kale a little weedy. Service was excellent, as were the featured Bondi wines.

Very long wait once we were seated for someone to come take our drink orders and then to receive drinks. Service improved after that. The opening and closing of the front door created wind/cold for us where we were seated. And the food was fine but not as flavorful as I'd hoped. A bit on the bland side. This included a burrata appetizer and the ribeye. The oxtail pasta was excellent.

Dining at A16 was wonderful! The service was super and they made my daughter's 21st birthday really special. Delicious pizzas and pastas (not to mention the cocktails and wine) and the desserts were outstanding. I also liked that they were able to accommodate both a gluten intolerance and a nut allergy without any fuss or issues. We can't wait to come back again soon.

We were mostly very happy with our experience at a16. The food was incredibly delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. The service wasn't the best. Maybe our server was managing too many tables. We never received our leftover boxed food.

A16 is a great spot for pizzas, cocktails and delicious wine. The ambiance is great, the service bar to none. I love it for special occasions and out of town guests.

A16 is Southern Italian food meets California. In a good way! The pizzas are excellent, with the true Neapolitan oven, especially recommended is the Montanara pizza which is briefly fried before being put in the pizza oven. Excellent also the appetizers, especially the squid with fried beans. And outstanding choice of Sicilian wines.
Nice little spot for dinner occasionally, my go-to in particular is the vesuvio pizza.

They put us in the back room with our newborn which i sorta appreciated? I wish they would have asked us first. We were in a cold room with some sort of networking group. No changing table if you have a little one... i wouldnt say its super kid feiendly but thats okay. Earlier in dinner i was told they “ran out of coupe glasses” and i could only gwt a martini on the rocks.... Strange. I ordered the pork chop instead of pizza... mistake. Get the pizza! Thats what they do here..... sangiovese was great
