I think the food here is fabulous! The pita, hummus, salads and halvah are shoulders above everyone else's. I haven't tried the sandwiches yet because the hummus bowl and pitas are so hard to resist. I've taken home the frozen pitas and containers of humus from the store, too. They are so delicious they make it very hard to want to waste the calories on the versions possibly more conveniently available everywhere else. I'm just sad they close so early, since I'd love to grab dinner here sometimes but eating before 5:30 usually doesn't work out for me.

Was looking for a place that serves falafels, hummus, shawarmas, etc. in the Oakland Lakeshore area and based on reviews gave this place a try. We ordered the Hummus bowl with Shawarma which comes with 4 different toppings of your choice and and the Sabich Sandwich. I really liked the hummus bowl with two types of egg plant, beets, carrots and spicy sauce. The hummus bowl was really good, with everything seasoned to perfection ! The sabich was just ok in my opinion but would have been better if so it sauce was added. The pita bread was soft and chewy in a good way. There is also a grocery store and deli available for a full in shopping experience. Thinking this might be my new go to spot for this type of fare !

Abbas hummus and Oakland kosher always gives you a taste of home- with great service, delicious and authentic middle eastern/ Israeli food.Always the best and only kosher deli and market to visit when we're back in the bay area, always greeted with a smile and great service and prices.We've had some of the best shawarma I've tasted here, so is there hummus, falafel, hamburger, pita and fries, we try to taste something new every time we go and they never disappoint!Reminds us of home every time.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've been searching for a legit hummus shop in the Bay area and I'm happy to say that I've found the one! So stop what you're doing and go grab a meal at this mom and pop shop.There's an ordering station and then they call your number. The store was a bit crazy since there were a couple of families with larger orders and the area is small. Once my number was called, I selected the 4 sides that I wanted. The pickles and the amba sauce were the best part. I liked that they didn't skimp on the sides and added more if requested. Again the AMBA sauce is amazing! You just have to get it.There's a nice outdoor sitting patio. I'll be back again!
We got takeout to eat. I had the chicken schnitzel in pita plus sides which was very tasty, They also have deli, and groceries. Parking is across the street and back a couple of blocks in a garage, or on the street. Helpful people at the counter.

I was just strolling around the neighborhood looking for something new to eat. Every time I see NY deli, I think of Katz deli. That was the reason I went in, wondered around and the tough decision was a bowl or a pastrami sandwich. I went with a 1/2 lb pastrami sandwich with everything on rye bread. Let me just say "OMG!" The meat was thinly sliced and stacked high, came with a choose of potato salad or slaw. Everything was delicious and fresh, I can honestly say, I haven't had such a good pastrami sandwich in a long time! This is def going to be my go to spot for a bomb pastrami sando from now on. Must try!

This place has been on my radar since I'm always looking for good hummus and the store bought ones are just all mediocre. I like Oren's on the peninsula but now I've found Abba's! I ordered their hummus bowl with mushrooms and onions and was able to choose 4 additional toppings from their salad bar. So delicious and good portions! The pita bread is yummy also! My tiny complaint is the juices from the salads mixed with the hummus making it runny. But still all very tasty. I'll definitely be back but may get a separate order of hummus to enjoy with the pita alone.

High quality and top notch spot. I've been by many times but actually never have ordered myself here but have had fam pickup and some deliveries from them. Sadly the menu prices are a good deal more expensive but... such is life for convenience and I feel restaurants can/should do this for their margins. All the options here are fantastic, I typically opt for a hummus or falafel bowl with the salads. Eggplant and Israeli salads are my fave, with the eggplant one being truly delicious. Creamy, tender, and Smokey. I try and get this as much as possible. The pita is soft, fluffy, and delicious even after a short car ride. The pita sandwiches are like-wise huge and stuffed to the absolute max. My only gripe is they do seem to keep slightly odd hours as anytime I go by they are closed which is why I have had to get them delivered so often.
