The food was awful the waiter with the young man, but the two braids. He was very unattended and seemed to be annoyed by every request that the people at the table had he wasn’t paying attention to what we were ordering and walking off and being very dismissive, he seemed like he was having a bad day don’t know, but the food wasn’t good at all. Very way underseasoned just wasn’t good. Wasn’t a good experience at all, and I looked at all the kitchen from the outside of the building and it was very sketchy looking. It looked like the food tasted….. horrible.

Place is very clean and atmosphere is relaxing. Food smells and taste wonderful. Staff is very consistent is taking care of the patrons. As I said before the vibe is so great. Music is very retro .

The place is nice, food amazing when you eat is like you’re enjoying every piece that you take I have oxtails collard greens green beans and crack and cheese was delicious big portions and Kids size meals is like for an adult great love that. I wouldn’t forget the service was very nice people. Thanks Chef Smelly he was very nice.

...This isn't AU anymore, is it? At ay rate. I was at the restaurant at this location last week. It was an early week nite dinner and the place was jumpin'. Such a fun atmosphere. The waitress was super sweet and pleasant. Got my order taken after about 10 minutes too long of a wait (15+ minutes in all?). And then things went south. It was more than 45 minutes after that when my dinner came. Another lady who came in right after me was still waiting for her dinner 20 minutes later when I left. She had to leave without her food because she couldn't wait any longer. The catfish was good enough, serving size meh. They DO have a decent non-alcoholic beer, for which I am very grateful. I'll try it again another day.

1st time visit..food was way too greasy and oil was flooded on bottom of my take out. It was exspensive and my order wasn't correct and the fish was not fried hard as we requested.. I was disappointed in the food...i didn't like the food at all..this place was too small people were squished inside. The customer service was good and they were nice, but the food and this spot is over rated . I was very disappointed to say the least? The food messed up my both our stomachs after eating it as well.
Ordered lots of dishes. Garlic crab was good, bread was delicious. They mac and cheese wasn't that great. Greens and Yams good. Grill and fried shrimp was delicious. R&b music in background was nice to have

The food was ok. I probably should have tried something different. The service was great. My only problem was the signage on the building ( where is it ) it said AU, but if you look down on the sidewalk, there's a small sign that has Chef Smellys written on it. Overall, I would go back.
