The space is a beautiful renovation of classic residential home. I had the French toast special, which was only $10! I watched them make the sauce and it was incredible. Not many places in the Bay Area where you get this combination of price and quality. Iced coffee was solid too. Will ? return when I am back in the area.

Love the new menu and design of the cafe. Firebrand breads, house made treats and teas, cinnamon syrup! Delicious sandwiches and a cozy vibe!

The special today was a Reuben sandwich, this is hands down the best Reuben I have had since moving to the Bay almost 2 years ago! This place is clutch!

Excellent drip coffee - and I really don't say that lightly. The sandwiches are also perfect. Simple, tasty, nutritious and on the best kind of bread (Dutch Crunch, baby). Very excited to have come to this gem of a spot; will come back repeatedly for our lazy weekend mornings and afternoons.

Sometimes, there is nothing better than a good sandwich. When I get that craving, I usually like to go to Autobahn Cafe. Located a good 4-5 blocks away from Jack London Square, it's a nice walk and offers the perfect amount of time to decide what to get. The staff, although rotating a couple of times within these last few years, are always friendly without there being too much pleasantries. They serve very tasty sandwiches, breakfast burritos, pastries, and espresso drinks. I'm not the biggest fan of their dripped coffee, but oh yes for their lattes. They serve their sandwiches with nice quality ingredients and the portions are always just-right, enough to enjoy a beverage and a side of chips.

I lived just steps away, in Jack London Square, for 7 years yet didn't find time to visit until recently. The location is somewhat hidden from the beaten track, as it's along busy 5th Street where most cars speed pass, and which is wedged in between the 880 overpass and overhead BART tracks. Given its hours (early in the morning for breakfast, plus lunchtime) I suspect some of their target customers are those working at the port nearby. Here, you'll find a simple menu, simple, real ingredients, and reasonable prices, like on a breakfast sandwich that I enjoyed. They also have a handful of tables inside that could be used by laptop-lugging folks when it isn't crowded, which it certainly wasn't early on a weekday morning. Not a bad choice for something simple and inexpensive to start the day.

I would highly recommend this business, especially if you're in the mood for a delicious breakfast burrito! They definitely use fresh ingredients and the my make the burrito in front of you. I need to speak to whoever buys they're avocados, because they do a great job selecting them. Always fully ripe and never blackened. Every time I buy my avocados they are either not ripe or too ripe, Autobahns is always just right! They have an assortment of sweets, I personally like their chocolate croissant and I like to get it slightly heated. The staff is always friendly and attentive even when they are very busy.

Best Philly Cheesecake I've had in a long time! Nice small place with great food.

Got a sausage and egg sandwich here a little while back and it was pretty good (and very large). It does seem like the menu changes a lot though since some of the photos on here don't seem to reflect what they had when I went in. The sausage was noticeably flavorful, i think because it had a lot of fennel seeds.

Unimpressive from the outside hut the magic is in the food. Great prices, clean shop, excellent sandwiches ( they sell halfs too), and a patio in back to eat outdoors away from the Autobahn.
