I want to say first that i understand that business and people can mistakes, but it’s typically better practice of customer service for a business to own their mistake and correct it fairly instead of making the customer pay
I called and order a chicken pesto panini, while making my order the owner kept cutting me off and said caprese. I was a little annoyed cause I was thinking why can’t she let me finish my order but I told her no caprese and repeated THREE times I wanted a chicken pesto panini with only spinach, chicken, cheese, and pesto. Now as I look back I should have asked her to repeat but considering I said it three times I thought it was ok.
I picked my order and had to leave quickly cause I was on my break. I drove back to my job in Pinole, I was so upset when I opened my order and discovered there was no chicken on my sandwich and she indeed gave me a caprese
When I called back to explain this, the owner tried to blame me and said I thought you said caprese and I said no, that’s what you said and I told you three times a pesto chicken panini. She offered to have me come back to add the chicken, but When I explained I could not drive back because I was at work and it would take me over 30 minutes to get there, she offered a 5 dollar refund.
While I understand the cost to make sandwiches are high, I don’t think it was fair that i had to pay full price for something I did not order. It would have been better customer service to acknowledge and take responsibility for her error and offer a full refund or say the next time I come in she’ll credit me the sandwich
I really hope the owner can understand it’s not fair to penalize your customers for your mistakes

This may seem weird to recommend for a salad place, but their wonton noodle soup that they only serve on Fridays is pretty good. Comes with plenty of shrimp and pork wontons in piping hot broth. Egg noodles are $2 extra but honestly not really needed. It's best to get it early since they make a limited batch.

Sooooo good! Today I stopped by to get their chopped salad. I substituted the chicken with avocado. Everything was fresh and delicious. Their pannis are good too!
