Becky’s Chinese restaurant has been a staple restaurant in the Rockridge area of Oakland for over 25 years. They have amazing lunch specials and family dinner specials. I enjoyed a lovely lunch with my Mom and here’s what we ordered: The Broccoli Beef lunch special, Kung Pao Chicken lunch special and chicken chow mein. Keep in mind that the Kung Pao Chicken was a little spicy so for those that can’t take spice I might skip this dish. Everything was fresh and delicious. Each lunch special comes with soup and salad and each entrée comes with fresh steam rice. They offer lunch specials from 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Their white steamed rice is always cooked to perfection…not sure how they get it that way, but it is very good and fluffy. Becky herself sometimes takes our order and is so nice and accommodating. There were several takeout orders being processed throughout our meal. Another good sign of happy customers. The parking in this area can be challenging, but you can circle the block and you’re sure to find a park nearby. The best part about going to Becky‘s is visiting the neighboring stores around the restaurant. There are consignment stores, bookstores, and a European market directly across the street called Rockridge Market Hall. I highly recommend bringing a group of girlfriends or your mom here and just enjoy the neighborhood, fun shopping and yummy Chinese food!

We really love this place, especially for lunch when they have a long menu of inexpensive and generous lunch specials. A mixture of Hunan and Cantonese styles, lots of choices and the quality is always good. Comfortable interior. Our favorite neighborhood Chinese restaurant.

Was looking for some cheap, decent Chinese food for pick up. I looked a Becky’s online menu and thought, finally some reasonable prices!
When I picked up spring rolls + chicken and broccoli, the total was $29 something. With their online menu it would have been closer to $17. The person shrugged and said yeah the online prices are from awhile ago, the owners can’t figure out how to take it down. Felt dishonest. Food is fine but overpriced in my humble opinion.

The food came out pretty Quickly the flavor was decent but pricey for mediocre westernized dishes. The place is decorated interesting but it is older. The service good, the only thing was the server's and chefs were chatting loudly close by. It would be a OK place to go again if there isn't many options available.

When we were looking for dinner on College, on a MONDAY night, past 8pm, we found this gem! Becky's has a great relaxing environment, super friendly lady staff and great Chinese food. We ordered the King Pao tofu and also broccoli 🥦 dish, both were excellent. Would highly recommend Becky's.

The food was good, however we were very confused when we got the total. We ordered a family meal, plus one appetizer totaling $44 before taxes (take out). We were charged $57 at pick up. We asked why it was so much, and the woman said “taxes and fees” and would not provide an itemized receipt. Feeling like we got a bit scammed for an extra few dollars which is not a great feeling
The food, service, and atmosphere are all amazing. The honey walnut prawns were so good. The waitress was super nice and even wrapped the mu shu pork for us.

I'm giving this establishment a 2 star because there was hair in my rice ew! We ordered Kung pao chicken and fried rice the chicken was dry lacked flavor . The rice was good but the hair in it killed my experience 😫 definitely alot better places wirh more flavor

The chicken was overdone and dry for sweet & sour chicken. It wasn't seasoned. I also ordered bar b que pork fried rice. It was tasteless. This was the second time, and it was just as bad this time.
