I was so excited to finally dine here. The only pro I can say is that our pork belly appetizer and dessert were good. Everything else was a mess. My husband ordered the spaghetti with clams. The clams were completely inedible. They were loaded with grit and sand. We complained about this and absolutely nothing happened. No apology, and offer for something else. The spaghetti itself was very bland. I ordered the duo of duck. My duck was awful. It was bland and chewy. Also, the fat was not rendered. The leg was better but half my meal was inedible. Our waitress was training someone. There would be long periods of time where we weren't checked on. She never even asked if our meal was ok. We were still hungry so we had dessert- the cheesecake and an Affagoto. Those were good. There was a greyed hair gentleman who absolutely ruined the ambiance for us. He was rude and brusque with the servers. He brought dishes out and just plopped them on the table. He seemed EXTREMELY stressed out. No one said anything when we left. After leaving, we went to another restaurant because we were still hungry. You couldn't pay me to go back to this restaurant. Absolutely awful.

We had a wonderful dinner last night. We tried everything from the snacks to the deserts. All pasta dishes were outstanding. The pork chop was excellent. And the dessert sampler is the way to go. Our service, from the owner, to the wine steward to the server were all great. Hope to return soon.

This restaurant is a gem. We have been going for 10+ years and it just gets better. The food is creative and delicious. The wine list is interesting , thoughtful and reasonably priced. The service is excellent. We don't know the owner/chef's name but we see him there every time and know we are in good hands. Love this place!

We been coming here for years now and love the place. Not much a Prix-fixed menu on holidays such as Valentine's Day, but I certainly understand why it is done on these days. I personally admire that Bellanico goes out of their way to stick with many of the Italian imports for their wine parings. I know that is tough being in the Bay Area, but let's face it many of the wines from the old-world were made around the food.

Their food is always amazing, their weekend small bites menus is delicious. If you are looking for some fun appetizers and drinks before an event do come in between 5-6 pm. Their staff is delightful, your visit won't be disappointing. Enjoy!

The cozy environment and welcoming staff are elements I look forward to with each visit. There is also the happy anticipation of dishes I love AND new creative offerings. It's special that the chef owner is usually on site to acknowledge his guests.

I took three friends to dinner at Bellanicos - we each had a different main course ranging from swordfish, to duck, and even rabbit. We shared olives, squash fritters and bruschetta to start. The food was great, and the ambience reminded us all of a European cafe. We are so lucky to have this spot right here in Glenview!

We have been to Bellanico several times before and believe it to be a really wonderful place for dinner with friends. The atmosphere, menu/food, service and overall ambiance top notch.

We used to come here all the time but it's been at least 2 years - and Bellanico is as fantastic as ever. The food is outstanding. Wines and service are wonderful. The mussels and sausage appetizer is spectacular. We think it's just as great as Wood Tavern, Acre, or La Marcha all of which we've dined at recently. Maybe better. This is a slightly hidden GEM!

Food was excellent. So many yummy vegetarian options! Server was a little inattentive and tables in the middle aren't so pleasant (feel like your sitting in an aisle!). But overall, a great meal! This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant in Glenview by far!

This out of the way Italian restaurant belongs on the list with the Bay Area greats. Homemade pasta, inventive combinations, several meat and fish dishes and expert execution all go to making this one of my favorites. Also a they have a well curated Italian wine list with most available by the glass.

The brunch food was excellent - my guests (first-timers at Bellanico) were very complimentary) - but our meal was very nergatively impacted by the terrible noise level from the party of 20 nearby where there were several children, acting like children. I wish I had known about the other party and I would have changed the time of my reservation. Your staff is attentive and professional, but they didn't offer to ask the other party to tone it down, nor did any of the parents offer apologies for their childrens' behavior. Next time I'll try to remember to ask if there is reason to expect such loudness. When one is paying for a nice meal, it is very disappointing to have to endure such disagreeable ambiance - or 'no' ambiance. Sally Shaver

Had a bad experience customer service wise. It felt like the servers just wanted to get rid of the table. No time allowed to ask for recommendations. When asking for options nothing was available. Will
