This food was amazing! Huge burgers and yummy onion rings. I definitely would come back. The red itself did not have a lot of seating but well worth a visit.

Love BigE burgers. Less than $10 plus tax for quarter pound burger. Good deal for downtown Oakland.

Came here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burgers, nice customer service, quick turnaround, and pretty satisfied.

The burgers are pretty good & the fries remind me of McDonald's good ass fries when u put a little salt on them.

what happened to their amazing french fries? used to be so crisp and delicious, now they're skinny shoestrings. burger was dry bland unfortunately, not like the last times i've visited. prices have, of course, gone up. the service is still friendly at least and the dining area is well kept and clean. bring back the original fries and juicy burgers!!

The burger was so moist and favorable. That BigE sauce is the truth!!! Haven't had a fresh non greasy hamburger in the area in awhile and will be coming back The ordering process was great. The guy was patient and gave recommendations Even the bathroom was CLEAN!!! Love that for them

this is for 12/5/2023 mid morning, about 11:amI ordered the signature burger, the "big e hamburger". It was not good. the patty was okay in the taste category, but it was thin. it wasn't made with a shaping tool, it was hand pressed so the edges were uneven. lettuce and tomatoes is supposed to come with it. the tomato(when I think of the tomato on a hamburger, I'm thinking two slices OR one large one) that was on the burger was one very thin, very tiny slice. the lettuce leaf was big and fresh though. it came with a very small barbeque condiment on the side.when I was ordering, with my man-friend, he told the cashier/order taker what he wanted then I said what I wanted(the big e hamburger, no cheese, no bacon, and a small water no ice for my drink). I ordered a small water no ice for my beverage. I said it about three times during the process. we sat down, and when my friend went to the counter to get our order, they didn't give me my beverage. it was empty in the restaurant except for a party of two who was already there. so the cashier or the cook or whoever fulfills the beverages couldn't forget to put it on my tray. they wouldn't have to remember because it's put in the computer, and the cashier or whoever just reads it and fulfills the order. I didn't go up to the counter and ask for it because I'm wasn't going to press it, I'll leave a review instead. He never brought it.:( the cashier or whoever had 20 minutes to bring it, and apologize for the mistake. he didn't. again, it's only four people in the seating area. it's not lunch time crowds yet. so I couldn't get lost in the crowd so to speak.the wait was acceptable. we only waited about 10 minutes or so.the seating area was clean.the cost was $12.00 for the big e, it wasn't worth it.

Took the cashier's suggestion of getting the BigE Burger. I had mentioned my friend and I were planning on splitting a half pounder and he offered to cut it in half. Absolutely delicious burger, friendly customer service. Can't ask for much more.

Great tasting burger! They seem really fresh and homemade - very unlike the flavorless patties at other places. They have a limited menu but are great at what they make. I don't like cheese or condiments on my burger as I like to taste the flavorful meat and they deliver.

No idea why the reviews are so great, the food is aggressively mediocre and immediately gave me a stomach ache.Ordered a quarter pounder with American cheese. Decent maillard on the edge of the patty, but not in the center. The bun was stale and low quality. The meat was low quality. The meat was seasoned at least, so two stars instead of one.
